Wednesday, May 13th
Today we got to sleep in a little because we had our Photopass photo shoot scheduled for 10am! We got ready in our cheezy matching gear and headed to the second floor of the Grand Ceremonial House to meet out photog!
We checked in and the dude behind the desk wanted to know how we got the $25 photo shoot offer, so I explained it was in the email I received when I pre-ordered the Photopass CD. He grumbled about how the price had changed to $75 then charged me the $25!;)
Anyway, everything started great, we got some family pictures inside and out then Emily was DONE. She didn't want anymore pictures taken of her so Mike and I got some pics done of us. All in all, it took about 30 minutes! Here are some of our favs:

http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj64/wlwilliams9/May%2013/Image0834.jpg

http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj64/wlwilliams9/May%2013/Image0869.jpg
I thought the photoshoot was well worth the $25 and I would probably still pay the new $75 just because I can't get pics done around here for that cheap!
After the photo session, we went to Captain Cook's for a snack breakfast. I think I had a chocolate chip muffin and Mike had a Mickey Rice krispie treat. Sorry, no pictures!
Next we headed back to the room to change because we had a DIS meet scheduled for noon at the safari at AK. We hopped on the AK bus and we were on our way. We arrived at AK about noon and hoofed it back to Africa where we would soon meet our DIS friends! Here we are:
http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj64/wlwilliams9/May%2013/575.jpg
That's Brandi (BridetobeDisney), Me, Kara (kgle) and Amber (bertegirl)!
And our families:
http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj64/wlwilliams9/May%2013/573.jpg
We had all planned on riding the Safari together, but the line was 60 minutes and we weren't waiting for that so we grabbed some FP and Amber and Jason took off back to the AKL and the rest of us headed to EE to ride together. Mike and Brad were going to ride single rider while we rode on a baby swap ticket, but after waiting for the boys a few minutes, they came back and said the ride was down. Bummer! Mike and I said our good-byes and headed to Tusker House for our lunch ressie.
I only booked Tusker House because I had never seen the Finding Nemo Musical and if you book lunch at TH between 1-1:40pm you get priority seating for the 3:15 show. I would have much rather eaten at Yak & Yeti!!
We checked in at TH a few minutes early and we were told they were about 20 minutes behind so we waited. About 20 minutes later we were seated and our drink orders were taken!
We hit the buffet and got a little bit of everything. I don't have a pic of Mike's plate:confused3, but here is mine:
http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj64/wlwilliams9/May%2013/597.jpg
I think I had some pork, beef, couscous, rice and some other goodies. Mike loved this buffet and declared it the best buffet on property. I could have done without, but I'm not a big fan of Middle Eastern/African fare. It was good, but not as good as the delicious grub at Yak & Yeti!
Then we had some desserts, which of course, we great! I never have had a bad dessert!
http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj64/wlwilliams9/May%2013/602.jpg
http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj64/wlwilliams9/May%2013/604.jpg
These were scrumptious bites of Heaven! Strawberry mousse in a chocolate cup! YUM!! I may or may not have had more than one!!;)
Like I said, Mike really liked this buffet, but I wasn't thrilled. I was thrilled that we were given priority seating to the Nemo musical so it was a win-win situation! We rate TH :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2!!
Up Next: Finding Nemo, more AK and Jiko!

Awe your photos turned out so cute. I still love the colors you did! I like the ones of us from AK, too! Mine were not as close up.
I can't believe its been over a month since we left. Yikes! I have almost quit dissing...how sad. Considering how much time I spent on before hand. I think it has to do with summer, too.
Can't wait to keep reading, although it takes me longer to get caught up these days.

Well, I had my first ultrasound on Tuesday and the doctor couldn't get a great picture, but we could see the heart beating nice and strong! It was very exciting! The doc thinks I may be a week behind, but couldn't get a good read, so I have to go back on the 1st for another ultrasound and hopefully she will be able to determine a more accurate due date! Great news on the baby . At 8 weeks I think the baby looks like a little Gummy Bear on the us......lol. I still have my videos of Dallas' and Tyler's. I didn't get one of Amanda because I forgot the tape :sad2:.
Your PP pictures turned out great. We didn't get to have any in the hammock because it was too wet and the photog was scared we would ruin our clothes. I want to eat at TH for breakfast because I know Dale and Dallas will not find anything they would eat for lunch.
Your pictures of the meet are nice. I wish I could have been there to meet all of y'all too.

After we left Tusker House we had some time to kill before the Nemo Musical so we decided to ride the Safari with our FP. It was about 3pm so we were plesently surprised when we saw a bunch of animals out that are usually hiding from the heat of the after noon. We saw:
Hippos:
http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj64/wlwilliams9/May%2013/620.jpg
Alligators, or maybe they're Crocodiles:confused3
http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj64/wlwilliams9/May%2013/625.jpg
Some sort of horned beast! Not to be mistaken with horny beast!!:rotfl2:
http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj64/wlwilliams9/May%2013/632.jpg
Giraffes:
http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj64/wlwilliams9/May%2013/637.jpg
Some even bigger horny beasts!:lmao:
http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj64/wlwilliams9/May%2013/649.jpg
Elephants:
http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj64/wlwilliams9/May%2013/661.jpg
Rhinos:
http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj64/wlwilliams9/May%2013/672.jpg
This mate ran right next to the jeep!
http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj64/wlwilliams9/May%2013/680.jpg
Finally, the elusive lions:
http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj64/wlwilliams9/May%2013/681.jpg
After a successful poacher catch, we headed towards Nemo and that's when we saw her...
http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj64/wlwilliams9/May%2013/584.jpg
http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj64/wlwilliams9/May%2013/586.jpg
Devine!! I had never seen her before and now was my lucky day! Woo Hoo, another must do off of my list!
After gazing in excitement and amazement at Devine, we made our way to Nemo as the parade was Jammin in the Jungle!!
http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj64/wlwilliams9/May%2013/694.jpg
http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj64/wlwilliams9/May%2013/692.jpg
http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj64/wlwilliams9/May%2013/699.jpg
We finally arrived at Nemo and went to the priority seating entrance where we were led to a section in the front of the theater that had been reserved for VIP's like ourselves! It was perfect!
http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj64/wlwilliams9/May%2013/706.jpg
http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj64/wlwilliams9/May%2013/715.jpg

http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj64/wlwilliams9/May%2013/725.jpg
We really enjoyed the Nemo musical and we were happy we finally saw it. Emily loved every minute, she cheered and clapped during the whole show! I loved that she loved it so much!
The Nemo show ended around 5pm so the park was beginning to clear out a bit and the temp was cooling off so we stayed to enjoy EMH. We headed to EE where I ran into Amber (bertegirl) while I was waiting for Mike to ride. Turns our Jason was riding the same time Mike was so when the boys were back, Amber and I rode together while Emily and Jenny played. I love EE!! Sorry if I screamed in your ear Amber!!:scared1:
We decided to call it a day and moseyed our way to the front of the park, but first we decided Emily would like ITTBAB, so we walked to and through the tree to receive our bug eyes! Emily loved this show too! That girl is not afraid of anything! I love it!
As we left we had our pics taken!

We arrived at Animal Kingdom for the first time and WOW, what a beautiful lobby! This is definitely on our list of places to stay once we are stroller free!
We checked in at Jiko and we were seated immediately! Yay!
http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj64/wlwilliams9/May%2013/746.jpg
Our waiter was fantastic and here was our view!
http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj64/wlwilliams9/May%2013/748.jpg
We were first served our bread basket and some funky, but tasty butters!
http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj64/wlwilliams9/May%2013/751.jpg
Mike ordered the Price Edward Island Mussels - with white wine cream, roasted garlic, dill and cinnamon raisin baguette for an appetizer.
http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj64/wlwilliams9/May%2013/754.jpg
YUM! These were delicious and fresh! We shared!;) I know some of you are saying, "Yuck, Mussels, I would never eat those!", but let me say, you have to try them! They are not as gross as you think! If cooked the right way, YUMMMMMM, mussels are little morsels of scrumptiousness!!!
Anyway, I ordered the Chef's Specialty Flatbread - with sun-dried tomato, artichokes, goat cheese and rocket pesto
http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj64/wlwilliams9/May%2013/752.jpg
Oh man, Emily and I scarfed this right up! Everythink about this flatbread was divine!! The goat chease was so creamy and mild, YUM! It melted in your mouth!
On to the entrees! Mike had the Maize-crusted Pacific Halibut - with Vegetables of the Moment and Tomato-Butter Sauce
http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj64/wlwilliams9/May%2013/756.jpg
Neither Mike, nor I had ever had Halibut, but we new it was a mild, flakey white fish so we were both interested in this dish and we were not dissappointed. The fish was light and flavorful. The maize crust was the perfect crispness and the veggies were tender! As you can tell, I had a bite or two! We highly recommend!
I chose the Pan-seared Scallops - with cucumber raita salad, grilled papadam and peppedew Vinaigrette
http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj64/wlwilliams9/May%2013/755.jpg
I am a HUGE fan of scallops if they are cooked right and these were perfection! They were large and pan seared with a nice butter crust on the outside but melted on your tongue! I just had to wipe the drool from the side of my mouth!
For dessert, Mike enjoyed the Pumpkin and Dried Fruit Bread Pudding - with vanilla-honey anglaise and cinnamon ice cream
http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj64/wlwilliams9/May%2013/758.jpg
Mike will always order bread pudding if it's on the menu. It's one of his favorite desserts and this one was devine! He loved every last bite!
I devoured the Pistachio Creme Brulee - With a chocolate-layered bottom
http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj64/wlwilliams9/May%2013/757.jpg
Now, I am not a creme brulee fan, in fact, I don't think I have ever ordered a creme brule for dessert, but for some reason, this one spoke to me. I think it was the chocolate layer on the bottom and I do like pistachios! I LOVED this dessert! It was amazing! I loved the pudding like custard paired with the snap of the chocolate layer below! Another drool moment!
Mike and I LOVED Jiko and will definitely be returning in the near future. The atmosphere was family friendly, but with a hint of romance! We loved our view of the pond and our waiter was attentive and outstanding! We give Jiko :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 !!
Up Next: What? We've been upgraded? and CRT!!!

hmmmmm I had just taken JIKO off my list for our trip next August... and now I am thinking of adding it back in. (I had such a bad experience at Boma- I was thinking this time, not even going to AKL!) Did you go there right from the park? We did that when we went to Boma and I think that was part of the problem- I was so hot and tired- and didnt feel like dealing with the long lines at the buffet... I was actually looking at Jiko that night and it looked so quiet and inviting... so not like the loud/lines and tons of people at Boma! - So... lucky you!!!
We also didnt get to do Finding Nemo- I think maybe a "Must do" on the next trip. How do you get the VIP seating? Is it by having lunch at Tusker House only?
Love the pics! Especially the one of Emily all snuggled into Mike - you can tell she loves her Daddy!!

Thursday, May 14th
Alrighty then, on this morning, the b4g3 part of the vacation was ending and we had to check back in for our room only reservation. I headed to the Grand Ceremonial House about 8:30am thinking I was just going to check back in and get the same room we were in. That was the plan anyway!! However, the nice CM that was helping me said, "Oh, you've been upgraded to the Hawaii bldg." My eyes widened and I exclaimed, "Concierge!?!" She said, "Yes, concierge, lagoon view room on the second floor" I was torn at this point because... 1) 2nd floor Hawaii rooms don't have balconies, 2) We would have to pack up our stuff and move rooms and 3) We had a 10:20am ADR at CRT and we could not miss that unless we wanted to be charged.....BUT IT WAS CONCIERGE!!! So I called Mike and asked him what he thought. He was all over the concierge idea so I explained to the CM that there was no way we could move before our ressie so she gave us a late check-out for 1pm! YAY!! I headed back to the room and we started packing, well, it was more like throwing anything in any bag it would fit in!! We got everything stuffed into our bags and headed to the MK for our breakfast with Cinderella. This was turning out to ba a very magical day indeed!:wizard:
We arrived just in time for our ADR and we were ushered right into the castle to meet Cinderella:

Emily was then given her magic wand and we headed up the royal staircase to be seated! We got a great royal table near the royal windows! Everything was "Royal" at the castle! You'll have to forgive the pics though, in all of the crazy packing we did, we accidentally packed up the cameras and left them in the room so our CRT pics are from Mike's phone!

We forgot to take pics of our food, I know, shame on us!! Our Royal waiter brought over a delicious fruit bowl, a family style platter of the usuals, eggs, breakfast meats, pastries, etc and Emily was served french toast sticks! We ate our delicious bfast as the princesses came around. We saw:

Our breakfast at CRT was yummy, but definitely not as good as Crystal Palace. However, it was the best princess meal we had and we would not hesitate to eat at Cinderella's Royal Table again. I mean, it is the castle after all!! The food was fresh and the service was outstanding! My only complaint...the Cinderella that was there that day looked sort of...um...manly!! Mike and I kept saying, "She's a man, man!" In our best Austin Powers accent!!:lmao: Anyway, we give CRT :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2
Con't in next post....

After filling our bellies yet again, we headed back to the Poly and called Bell Services to come and get our bags. We headed to Hawaii and had to use our new YELLOW KTTK cards to get into the bldg!
http://i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj64/wlwilliams9/May%2014/779.jpg
We got to our room and our bags arrived right behind us. This is what we saw:

It was a great view, BUT MK was blocked by a couple of palm trees and we didn't have a balcony which was really a bummer. We headed to the concierge lounge to check it out and had a few snacks. They had pita bread and hummus, chips, salsa, soda, pretzels, and various other snacks. There is a great view of the castle and a TV playing Disney Channel for the kiddos. Still bumming about the no balcony and lack of view, I went back to the room and called concierge. I explained how we had originally upgraded to MK view and now we had lost that view. The CM was very kind and said, "Let me look to see if we have a MK view available for your stay, let me call you right back!" I said, alrighty and waited! Amber (the CM) called back immediatly and informed me that there was a MK view room on the 3rd floor (BALCONY) that we could move to. She had already sent bell services up! WOO HOO!!:woohoo: I went back to the concierge lounge to get Mike and Emily and when I got on the elevator to go to the 3rd floor, Mike was like, "Where are you going, we're on this floor!" I said, smiling ear to ear, "Not anymore!!" He was geeked and we went to our new MK CL room! WoW, this room had a view!!

After enjoying our spectacular room, we headed back to the MK for some more fun even though it started to sprinkle again!

After another fun evening at the MK, we headed back to the Poly for some concierge delights. When we walked into the room, we had been turned down!!

So there you have it! The wonderful upgrade to concierge! Honestly, CL was nice, escpecially because we were no longer on the DxDP, but I definitely wouldn't pay the extra $$$ for it!
Up next: More Epcot fun and Mike drinks around the WS!

Ok the view is like something out of a story book. Wow! I mean we paid for Savannah view and got a parking to begin with...Jenny is going to be so jealous when I tell her Jasmine was at your CRT. She never came to ours and that was the one princess Jenny really wanted to meet. Loved the tea party. Only Disney can still be fun in the pouring rain!

I'm all caught up! Wow that view is amazing. It's awesome that you got upgraded. I was wondering if CL was worth it. It would definitely be nice if you didn't have the DDP.
Aww the heartbeat!:lovestruc:cloud9: I can't wait to hear what you are having. Are you going to find out or have it be a surprise? If you find out will you tell us please?! ;)
I just love the pics of Emily. She's so cute!

I was thinking that Cindy seemed a little "off" appearance wise! Sometimes Disney casting nails it, sometimes....eh....not so much! :rolleyes1

With a new baby and a little one- I voted for Contemprary for easy, walkable access with stroller to MK and the ease of being on the monorail for all the great places to eat in Disney! Also because of the big comfy beds, great reviews, new splash area, hot tubs, and for being at the Contemporary for breakfast with Mickey, dinner at Cali Grill, and great shopping!!
