Hi,

I have heard the above book which is out of print is the best ever written on DLRP. I have heard that every so often this book can be found in a shop in the village and storybookland. Can anyone confirm this and how much is it going for?

I got mine last year at the storybook store near the town hall on main street. I think it was about £35.00. I'm off there next week so can have a look for you.

I bought mine from the author of the book on ebay - its a lovely book, and enclosed copies of the park maps which I thought was a nice touch :goodvibes.

Its a bit hit and miss if you can get the book in DLRP - the last time I was there I could only find French and German versions.

Unfortunetly he is only selling signed copies at the moment that are very expensive but you could email him to see if he will sell you one - I found him very helpful :)

I got mine from the author via ebay too - paid in dollars but it was when the dollar rate was nearly 2 to £1GBP plus he wasn't charging as much then. Looks like we have a rareity on our hands now. The author was very helpful though so might be worth contacting him directly.

I got mine from the shop in the Disneyland hotel last year - it was reduced and then we got AP discount as well which made it a real bargain

:scared1: A few years ago DH bought me one of the special editions that is numbered as well as signed and he didn't pay as much as that.

We bought our eldest DD her own signed copy last year as a pressie for good GCSE results and that came to about £45 with postage ~ but of course the rate was 2$ to the £ then.

I hope everyone who wants one manages to get one :wizard: it really is a fantastic book and worth every penny. It's my very favourite Disney book, my close second is One Day at Disney which has photos of the parks in California, Florida, France and Tokyo in a 24 hour period starting and ending at midnight.

I have the millenium edition bought for me by my oh and boys for my 40th birthday from Disney Village at 100 euros or £75.00 as it would've been then.
The Millenium edition is numbered and I believe it's printed on higher quality paper and includes some concept art prints from WDS.
I love my book.:lovestruc

They do a mail order service here (https://my-disneyland.disneylandparis.co.uk/contact-us/index.xhtml). I don't think they are always very quick at responding ;) does anyone else remember Giulia trying to arrange for her Christmas tree topper to be sent  but Disney came through in the end and she got it. :thumbsup2

Unfortunately it's now out of print and although I wouldn't have minded a good condition second-hand one, they go for very silly prices. It took me nearly a year but in the end I managed to track a brand new copy down, it was collecting dust in a small Christian bookstore in the American midwest, and luckily it was a very good price with the bonus that the dollar/pound rate was almost 2$ to the £.

Plus, it looks like he still has copies of the book :). Good luck!

There are some English copies left at DLRP!

Disney Gallery in Disney Village had around 5 when I was in there on Wednesday (27th May). I bought one. Well worth €45.

I remember on our first trip in 2002 I wanted to get it but thought it would be too heavy in my bag! When I got back I regretted it and contacted the author and bought directly from him. It's the most amazing book and thinking right now I'm not quite sure where my copy is :O

For anyone who wants this book who is going in the nextc ouple of months i think you will be successful. I found this book in 3 places. Storybook Store in Main Street, i bought my book on Sunday, there was one other English version, i went back a couple of days later and they had restocked another 4 copies. In the Gallery in the Village there was 3 copies and in the studios in the shop by Art of Animation there were 3 copies. 45Euros in each place and no discount for shareholders. The book is hard back A4 and very heavy.

I know this is an old thread, but i've only just come across another blog saying it's definately out of print now.

I'm absolutely kicking myself, as could have got this on our trip last June.

Fingers crossed we're planning another trip for October this year, and wondered if anyone knows if it's still in in the parks anywhere?

I heard it was out of print too, I have a copy and would recomend anyone to keep a look out on ebay or amazon for a good price though as it is definitely a book worth having for a DLP fan.

I got mine from the DLH gift shop, they had one copy which was in bad condition because it was on display. So they tracked me down another copy from another shop which was sent to the hotel.

I've got this book and it really is fantastic! I'd seen it in the art shop in the village years ago and had always wanted it but could never justify the cost. My girlfriend got it for me as an xmas present directly from the author. Because of the exchange rate at the moment it's very expensive, with delivery it's nearly £100.

If anyone is interested, you can get it here: http://disneyandmore.blogspot.com/2009/12/looking-for-great-disney-gift-for.html

I was also extremely lucky to have it bought for me.
It was a present for my 40th from OH and the boys. At 75 euros (I have the Millenium edition, which came with concept artwork for the studios and glossier pages), it is the most expensive book I own and my most prized souvenier from DLP. :lovestruc
