We're going for 7 nights in Sept for free dining. DMIL, her 3 kids and 4 grandkids.

DMIL has her own room and a seperate reservation number from the rest of us. Her 3 friends want to come up from Tampa for three nights and stay in her room. They do not have tickets yet.

If they stay in DMIL room and do not do the dining plan they can buy their own tickets and she has to pay the 2 extra adult fees for room for three nights. Right?

If they do want to do the dining plan...can they? Can they use their FL discount? Is it easier for them to just book their own room? Or should MIL do a split ressie? Can they buy a 1 day ticket for dining and use FL pass for other two days. I'm so confused, please help me. They are coming to visit us this weekend and I want to give them prices to join us.

:rolleyes1 I almost hope they don't decide to join us, this is stressing me out. (UGG and now my BIL is talking about joining us for a few days, but he doesn't want DP because he won't eat the food)

TIA!

Everybody in a room *must* be on the same package. So if your mother-in-law has a package (with room, tickets, and dining) then her friends will have to do the same.

If your mother-in-law has a room only reservation then no one can do the (free) dining plan since the (free) dining plan requires a package deal.

Also there will be an additional room charge after the first two adults, for each adult over the age of 18 in the room -- so friend #3 and friend #4 will incur additional room charges by staying in the same room as your mother.

Free dining plan requires the purchase of a disney pkg including room, and at least a one day ticket per person.Everyone in the room needs to be on the same exact pkg

You might need to do the math on this one to figure out which would be best. They could be added to your MIL's room but you would have to pay the extra adult fees for the entire trip. For the ticket part of that room give everyone a one day ticket. Then once you get there everyone can upgrade to the ticket they want. You MIL can upgrade to a 7 say PH, for example, and her friends can upgrade to FL resident tickets.

Everyone you have registered in a room must be on the same package, with the exact same tickets and the exact same dining plan for each person registered (age 3 and over). If your mother-in-law's friends are registered in her room they will have to get tickets and dining credits - same as your mother-in-law is getting. (After they leave, she can use their leftover dining credits - but she can't use them to buy you a meal if you're on different reservations.) Same thing if your brother-in-law comes - if you register him in a room that is already on a package reservation, he has to get the same package.
