We are going to Universal for the first time this August. We will have a rental car. I am confused about the parking situatuion. Does the hotel have its own parking lot, or do we park in the same parking garage that is used for the parks? If we do park in the same lot, how long of a walk to the parks is it from the PBH? I have no grasp on how large the Universal complex is. I hope I don't sound silly.

The PBH has its own parking garage with most of it covered and underground.

There are 4 modes of transportation from PBH to the parks: 1) 10-15 minute walk, 2) pedicab is free, but gratuity is expected, 3) shuttle from lobby every leaves 20-30 minutes or 4) the water taxi that leaves from the boat dock every 15-20 minutes.

We enjoy the water taxi the most since it is so relaxing and they run so frequently.

All the 3 hotels have their own parking, its about 15 mins walk to the Park or get the water taxi. Bubbas Mum posted a map where she would cut through the HRH via the car park took about 10 mins, but its a nice walk along the waterway to the park

A 15 minute walk in the morning sounds great, and a water taxi home later sounds even better. Thanks

It's a very nice walk. We did it many times, both morning and evening, during our last stay. And when we didn't feel like walking we always took the boat.

Slightly off topic, but what would be an acceptable amount for a gratuity for the pedicab? This sounds like something our gang would enjoy. TIA.

I normally pay about $5-8 one way from Citywalk to RPR.

Thanks so much Bluer! That's just the info. I needed. I would have been clueless otherwise.
