We didn't use EMH last week, and we would usually wander down to the park gates for around 9.30am. You will get through the turnstiles at this time or thereabouts, and you can access Main Street, the arcades on either side of it, some of the shops, and some of the cafes will be open at this time. If you're lucky the Main St vehicles will be running, so you could have a little trip up or down Main St in the paddy wagon, or the horse-drawn tram etc etc.

Then a few minutes before 10am, head over to whichever roped-off area you want to go to first (Fantasyland, Discoveryland, Adventureland, Frontierland) so you can get through quickly at rope-drop and on to your first ride of the day :goodvibes.

Another DISer who didn't then...I thought I was the only one :goodvibes

We would get to the Car Park for around 9:30 so that we could let Kacee walk to the park and be at Salon Mickey for 10am.

On days that we went straight into the park we got to the main gates for around 9:45am.

Instead of EMH (as Dumbo wasn't working) we went to the New York hotel one morning for characters, slept in the 2nd morning :rolleyes1, and all 3 mornings we accessed the park through Salon Mickey. We were usually there by 9.30, last day we were there a bit earlier.
We loved this too, my DD insisted on going there first each morning :goodvibes - knock on the door, have a cookie and a drink, then get let out into the park without having to use the turnstiles, made her feel very important, being a shareholders daughter lol :rotfl:.

I thought that Salon Mickey didn't open until 10am

We all loved Salon Mickey...it was soo cool.

We got told by the CM that they expect you to have 2 cakes, one bottle of water, one bottle of OJ and unlimited hot drinks per person including both the boys. I thought this was a bit much but everyone seemed to do it and they all seemed to take bottles with them as well

Salon Mickey opens at 9am :). We just went around to the EMH entrance, showed the CM there my shareholders card and told her we were going to Salon Mickey instead of into the park.

I'd say about 9.30/9.45 so you can enjoy Main Street and then get ready for whichever ropedrop you want to do. :)

(If it's frontierland then wait at the liberty arcade entrance as opposed to the main hub entrance and you'll get to BTM first!! I also think it's quicker going through fantasyland to get to POTC as opposed to through the adventureland entrance.
