Does he understand how badly we need you to be on the cruise with us?

And the price (while high) is an awesome price for a DCL cruise.

I realize there are other things involved.....but show him some of the other prices.

That might help

Jackie - Your missing the obvious... Just tell him it will be your Christmas present for 2010 and he has 18 months to pay for it... Actually a bargain, cheaper than some diamonds ;)

Can anyone recommend a good cruise book as well? We're used to Passporter's for the parks, and I'm pretty sure they make a cruise book, but wanted to get opinions if there was something better out there.
Thanks!

I found these very helpful in preparing for Podcast Cruise 1.0.

It was my first cruise, so I felt overwhelmed. These (and the boards) helped to lessen that feeling. (Links follow the dates)

I have a quick, but very important question. I have never been on any kind of cruise before, and I get that all our meals are included. But, what about booze? Are cocktails, beer and wine part of the package, or is that one of the things you charge to your room?

Alcohol and soda (i.e. fresh from a can) at a bar gets charged to your room.

Soda at a meal or from the self serve station is included in the overall cruise cost.

I know that a wine pairing package is available with dinner each night for an upcharge. I am not sure about other cocktails during dinner, but I would imagine if available, they would also be charged to your room.

I watched the Disney Cruise Line show on Netflix (I think it was aired originally on the Travel Channel). Its a couple years old, but it is a nice way to give you some visuals about what we chat about and what not.

PCC 2.0 stuff (http://www.cafepress.com/DISunplugged/7281208)

or the main DIS unplugged page (http://www.cafepress.com/DISunplugged)
