Hi all!

Thanks for the helpful info about arranging the birthday cake. Now I have another food question for all of you.

We have scheduled the day-long beach excursion to St. Maarten, which includes lunch. One member of our family is a vegetarian and I am wondering if we should notify them ahead of time of her dietary restriction. Or is the lunch menu varied enough to accomodate everyone? If I do need to call ahead, what number do I use?

Thanks again for all of your help.

I believe the lunch offered at the Beach excursion to St. Maarten is by a local vendor and not DCL. When we went to Orient Beach on DCL excursion lunch was a BBQ provided by the rest. on the beach.

If you really want a veggie lunch, maybe call room service the morning of or night before and see what they can arrange. Then you could bring it with you. Pack an insulated, foldable cooler/lunch sack and bring zip lock bags for ice. Northing worse then droopy veggies!

I wouldn't do that!!! It is STRICTLY FORBIDDEN to take any fruit or vegetables off the ship. You're just asking for trouble, if you try it.
We saw a woman trying to sneak a banana off the ship in St. Maarten and she received a good lecture about the laws by the officer controlling the gangway.

Viking....really....I knew you could not take food off the ship once you were back in the U.S., but I did not know about taking fruit off the ship in St. Maarten. If this is true than I hope Janey makes other arrangements!!!!

Is it just fruits and vegetables, because I have taken sandwiches off the ship before?

Thanks for the info.

We are vegetarians too, and had hoped to take sandwiches and stuff with us.
I guess this might be a problem. I know at Key West we will be able to find food, but at the other stops we might need to take a short trip.

I think I heard that at Castawary Cay, they have veggie burgers. We haven't eated at Castaway Cay before (been on 2 cruises already) because we didn't think we would be able to eat. We are excited about getting to eat there this time!
