Awesome, I really want one of the damn things, but I still have a year on my current contract...

My friend, who I also work with, and is in the commitee for the society at uni with me, has offered me his old one... but I don't know whether to take him up on it...

No Iphone for me. I'll keep with my old one that's been chewed by my dog and is held together by tape. Jealous?

My friend actually gave me his old iphone, which is in good working condition, but it doesn't work with my sim card, so I think he's going to unlock it again for me...

Unlocking is pretty easy as long as it's not on the very latest firmware :thumbsup2

Yea it's great so far.

The only thing I don't like is that you have to purchase a song on Itunes twice to get a ringtone. Is there anyway around this?

The way I did it is on my Mac with Garage Band. You can just upload a CD (used the disney parks music CD) to itunes, grab tracks into Garage Band, select the parts you want to use (up to 40 seconds) then there is an option to save a ring tone to itunes. If you google creating ringtones in garage band there is a great tutorial on a site called lifehacker.
I'm not sure how to do this in Windows, but there must be a way.

Funny story, my default ringtone is a chunk of Spectromagic. I was just in FW riding around on a golf cart one evening when my phone rings. For about 5 seconds I was amazed that they could pipe the Spectromagic music into the golf carts (that don't have a sound system). I guess it isn't hard to believe the incredible at WDW :confused3

if you go to the myxer website you can download ringtones that you just put in iTunes then sync it :)
