View Full Version : Carrying all that Disney Park Gear???

So what do you use to hold all the Disney gear? Simple backpack? messenger bag?

After checking the FL child labor laws, my plan to have the kid earn her keep on the trip as a sherpa seems to be out of bounds... :confused3

:rotfl2:

My motto is to always carry as little as possible to the parks. If you have to bring stuff, a stroller makes a great carry cart (even if you dont have kids) :thumbsup2

If it doesn't fit in the cargo shorts it doesn't go into the park! :thumbsup2

I just use my camera bag. That and my pockets. Cargo shorts are definitely nice. I try not to take too much into the parks.

I use a small messenger bag. I tend to travel light, so all I usually have with me is my wallet, a water bottle, a couple of those Crystal Light drink packets, sunglasses, and my phone.

I do like the kid-as-sherpa idea, though...

Awwwwww... equines smell SO much better than people. :thumbsup2

I can see it now -- minimules for the "normal" packs all the way up to Clydesdale crosses for the real park commandos. and the best part is (ta-da) no more stroller-ankle-bashing for the rest of us. (mules are generally polite & VERY careful where they put their feet)

What would be the point of having them if they wore shirts?

And they could be used outside of the parks, too! ::yes::

I could think of several instances in my every day life where they'd come in handy!

I'll have to ask Scott if I can have one. I'd promise to take care of him, and bathe hime, and feed him, and bathe him, and make sure he gets enough exercise, and bathe him, and . . . .

I think a couple of them look like they can get REALLY dirty, though!

Don't you think?

Yep.

Definitely dirty.

Apparently for carrying compressed gas cylinders, old tires, and plates of tasty little treats...

I use one of these:

http://www.shoebuy.com/pi/bagga/bagga121602_64245_lg.jpg

It's super lightweight and yet has enough room for a couple bottles of water (which also have been known to hold a shot or two of rum for those yummy dole whips :rolleyes1 ), an apple or two, and all the other little essentials I can't leave home without. :lovestruc

 So lets see based on the advice I need to stuff one of the "burly stevedores" into my cargo shorts :cool1:

Yep, I'm definitely more 'excited' about the trip then ever...

DVCajun- may I ask where you got that lil gem (not that I'm giving up on my stevedore, but just in case my shorts don't have room for everything)

shoebuy.com if I remember correctly. They always have great coupon codes too. And, if you don't have the impeccable taste of moi and would rather not have orange, they also come in LIME GREEN!!!

forgot to add that the front pocket has all kinds of wonderful little compartments, and slots for credit cards (or room keys!), and the shoulder strap has a zipper compartment for extra cash too!

Credit card in the sleeve that holds the AP...in the pocket and off we go. ::yes:: Sometimes we add the camera/bag but that's it. Hate lugging all sorts of "stuff." There is first aid if you need a bandaid or a 'pirin or any other little first aid sort of thing (bug bite stop itching stuff...etc.). Put the sunscreen on before you go... that sort of thing.

Not that we haven't done the overloaded stroller bit, when we have one of the younger relatives with us, but for the most part, it's AP and CC and that's it! :teeth:

I wish I could head into the parks with only my husband's cargo shorts on...

:sad2: Wait! Is that NOT what we are talking about???

J/P I almost always have to carry a small bag to carry my stuff.... After all, it's kind of impossible to look THIS cute in all those Photopass pictures without stopping to apply pressed powder and lipstick...

http://i445.photobucket.com/albums/qq180/jennrego1929/image033.jpg

OK, so I don't really look all that cute... but it would have been alot worse without the makeup touch up!
