Trip Reports - is there any way to find the dates?

I've been searching through some TRs and am finding quite a few don't actually have the dates of travel/stay. Is there any way this can be added (or in future?). It's very useful to look through the TRs as it gives you a feel of how your stay may be if you were to go around the same dates.... :idea:

Yes, this is the right place to ask. :thumbsup2

We ask for people to add their trip report links to the index as this makes it much easier for us mods to add them. When I've had a couple of hours to kill, I've sometimes added reports to the index where the links hadn't been posted on the thread and I think nearly all of them said when the trips were taken. If they didn't, I was able to work out the correct month to index them by the original posting date and the poster saying "we got back last night" or "we went last week/two weeks ago/last month".

It really does help everyone if, when folk are finished posting their trip reports, that they post in the trip report index thread too, so all their hard work and wonderful memories can be included in the trip report index :).

That was why we set up the seperate sub-board for trips. Since they were getting lost on the main board :sad1:

Thanks gals and guys. Actually, I didn't explain myself v well - I do know where the index is, I was just wondering if it would be possible for people to put the actual date of their trips in the first page of TR.

Eg I'm thinking of booking (possibly, maybe??) last week of August and so went to look at TRs for then - great there are a few in that month but you can't tell when in Aug so didn't give me such an idea.

Hope this makes sense... I do think the actual date would be useful for anyone reading in the future to work out what could be happening at that exact time the year later etc - I know events change but it does give an overall idea of how busy, what events may be on (ie. lots of people ask if they'll catch say Halloween decs going at a certain date before the event - if they had a look at a TR around those dates (and could see the dates) they'd get an idea) etc....
