how does the DDP work if you have a split stay? We'll be spending our first two nights at ASMU then switching to the Poly for our last 5 nights. How does this work?

Do you have the dining plan for both stay's or just one?
If you have just one and it's on the longer stay - it will start the day you check in for that package and includes the number of nights you have - It's good from check in to check out.
If you have it for both stays you have 2 days worth of food that you can use from that check in to that check out. Then on the day you check in for the second package you would have 5 days worth of 5 starting on that day of check in till that check out.
Does that make sense?

If you have DDP for both stays you need to buy park tickets with both stays (unless you have an annual pass). To keep the cost down you can buy a one-day ticket for the second stay and save it.
The dining credits you receive with the first stay would expire at midnight on the day you check out of ASMU and you would receive all your credits for the Poly stay as soon as you check in there, so conceivably if you have any credits left over from ASMU on the day you check out, you have extra credits to use on that day. You must make sure you use all the ASMU credits before midnight, because they'll expire. They don't carry over to the Poly stay.

I was hoping to do the DDP the whole week, but it sounds like what I thought I'd be saving by doing the dining plan, you end up paying more because you have to buy the park ticket with each stay. I knew there was something complicated about it, but I couldn't remember what it was. Sounds like it might be easier and cheaper to just pay out of pocket. Thanks for your help :)
