Our family will be staying at the Radisson the night before our western cruise on July 6th. We'll be looking for a nice restaurant to have a typical pancakes and eggs breakfast before we board the Magic. We're not looking for anything incredibly fancy or exotic - just good food.

Any suggestions?

There are Denny's and IHOP in Cocoa Beach and Merritt Island, not too far away. :)

Shirley, are you out there?!?!?!?!
We have had breakfast with her twice, and both times the restaurants were excellent, and also close by. One was a tea room with excellent chai and pumpkin pancakes, and the other was a Cuban restuarant. I heartily recommend them both...plenty of non-exotic items on the menu, and great food. But I don't know the addresses...maybe Shirley will see this and supply them.

I know this is not what you are looking for but we ususally just do the Dunkin Donuts thing (just a bit down the road from Radisson). Everybody wants to save themselves for lunch onboard. We just eat a donut or muffin and some coffee/tea very early and then induldge in the buffett onboard!!!

We were at the Radisson last week and had the breakfast buffet at the Hotel! Cooked to order omelets, eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy, cereal, yogurt, etc.... Very good!

Hi there -
First off will you have transportation? If not can pick you and yours super and have your own special tour guide --if you have a car, you can go to the Tea Room which is exalty one and a quarter miles from the Radisson on the right had side going South, awesome food and very reasonable - tell Joy that Shirley from the Perfect Gift recommended them -----next you have The Moon Hut where all the astronaults go every so often for a cup of coffee or just give an autograph picture for their walls --this restaurant is about one quarter of a mile South of the Radisson on the left hand side ----cant miss the big sign with the moon on it. Tell Nicky to treat ya super (he does anyway) ----now for cuban style breakfast there is Roberto -but he is about maybe 6 miles from the port (?) --but his breakfast are awesome ---Denny's and Perkins are also on the beach, but I am going to let you in on something - Norm and I went to Denny's last Sunday and it took 15 mins to get a menu, 30 mins to take our order - ended being over an hour before we got breakfast which was good timing for I was ready to keel over from hunger ----didn't get any water - refill of coffee etc - they are all overworked and understaff ----so weekends forget it ----
Anyhow these are just some ideas -----if we can help, call the shop at 800-950-4559
Always

My DH says the breakfast buffet at the Radisson is very good. We are going to be staying there the night before so that's what we have planned. Actually for tomorrow!!! Can't wait!

We're flying in the AM of the cruise. We have a 7AM flight (no food), arrive about 9:40, and get right on the DCL bus to Cape Canaveral. Any suggestions on where we can grab something to eat (besides the airport). Are there eating facilities at the DCL terminal or within walking distance of the terminal? Should I pack some food from home until we can get on the ship?

Our grp will be staying at the Radisson also night before. We will be using '********', so may or may not rent a car on site. I notice on Dave's handy dandy map Radisson is located between
'Zachary's Rest' and 'Kelsey's Pizza'. Can anyone recommend these restaurants, does Zachary's serve breakfast and are they within walking distance???
Appreciate any help

Hello 4Nana,
Zackery Rest. has excellent food (breakfast is outstanding) - Norm and I have eaten there many times - it is a Greek Restaurant and RIGHT NEXT DOOR (North) to the Radisson - Kelseys is a pizza palor just a few doors south to the Radisson - then there is Daniels accross the street and of course Old Mc Donald's so you have a pretty good choice without a car.
I hope that this will help with the information you was looking for.

Thanks for the information on breakfast. I'll talk to the family and figure out which place they want to go to Saturday morning.

Also, I called your place a couple days ago and ordered a simple vase of lavender roses for my wife. She loves lavender roses. We're doing the Vow Renewal on the Magic during our July 6th Cruise. Hope you don't have any problems getting lavender roses.

Thanks again for all your help!

Last cruise we went to the Moon Hut. We are space buffs so it was fun to look at all the pictures, clippings and signatures.
One evening we were hungry after 10PM so we went to Perkins pancake house. Food was good at both places.

Mrs. G, definitely pack some food to take with you. You CAN pick up something at the airport, there actually are some pretty good food places there, but there is NO place within walking distance of the cruise terminal and just a small snack bar there. I'd pack something to eat on the plane and then perhaps pick up something at the airport if you're still hungry.

Enjoy! :)

Shirley....
Thanx so very much for the 'heads up' on the restaurants.
I feel better now. What would we do with you? ;) Lavender roses are sooo beautiful! I think they are the most fragrant of them all :D

Hello 4nana,
If you have any problems while you down here, just call the shop - we are there and glad to help ---no strings attached --Lavender roses do have a fragrance, but I still love my gardinias.
Anyhow have a great time planning your trip -----that is the best part -are you taking the western or eastern -
Everyone have a great peaceful Sunday and a very careful but smily week.

I second the vote for breakfast at Zachary's. It's right in front of the Radisson.

I have their menu at my web site...
