I have reservations for Pop in September with the free DP. But because I can't stay off this darn site, I want to stay at FW so bad I can't hardly stand it!!! My parents have offered to let us use their camper and I am almost certain we are going to take them up on it. It seems like when I made my original reservations, I was told I could cancel before June- something-of-another without a fee, but if I "downgraded" there would be like a $50 fee. Obviously, changing to the camp grounds w/o dining being added is a "downgrade". So, should I just cancel my original reservations and call right back to make new reservations? I am sure someone has done this before and can steer me in the right direction. Am I crazy for thinking there is some kind of fee regarding this?

First call and make a ressie at FtW, then call and cancel the ressie at Pop. Don't do it on the same call.

Based upon your post I take it you have the dining plan. I don't know how many days ahead you are allowed to cancel without a penalty - call and ask.

You will not be able to take advantage of the dining plan if you book a site at FtW. It's not offered to us low-life camping people. But due to the DP the quality of food at Disney has declined - so who needs it? Grilling burgers & hot dogs at your site is much better & more fun! :thumbsup2

I knew campers were not eligible for free dining, but that's okay. I am still going to come out ahead with money if we eat the majority of our meals in the camper. I have not made any ADRs yet because my 90-window is not until June 22...so no worries there.

You are fine. You can cancel packages without penalty until you make your final payment which is 45 days out.
