Greetings!

I hope no one minds me posting or helping me out but I'm about to head off to a trip to Europe and I’m doing some last minute planning (basically all I have left to do is make sure I've got directions to all my hotels and the correct info.)

I've run into a bit of confusion regarding my stay at DLP. I'm flying into Paris-CDG from Stockholm and from reading the FAQs, I'm thinking that the cheapest way to get to the Sequoia Lodge would be the VEA shuttle? Is that very fast/cheap way to get to the park and will it drops me right off at the hotel? I'm arriving at CDG at 2pm so I'm not too worried about getting there right away but quick would be nice.

What really concerns me is when I leave DLP I’m going to be transferring to a hotel in the outskirts of Paris and I've been looking at mails and rail sites and I've haven't got any idea of what or how I’m going to do that. Does anyone have any suggestions? I would not like to have to walk too far as I’ll have a rolling suitcase and a backpack with me.
Anyone have any ideas that won't cost an arm and a leg? I'm staying on Rue Louis Armand, in Paris if I read my Priceline info correct.

THANKS FOR ANY INFO ANYONE CAN GIVE ME!! :thumbsup2

Hello and of course we dont mind you posting and will help if we can.

We've always got a private shuttle from the airport as it works out almost as cheap for 3 of us. How many are in your party?
We use RS/BS transports for this as have others on here and can recommend them.

The VEA will drop you right at your hotel but you may have to wait for one to arrive and if its full you may have to wait for another after that.

As for getting to your hotel in Paris does it say which is your nearest metro or RER station?

There is a train station at DLP where the RER line A runs into Paris. DEpending which side of Paris your hotel is on it may mean going into Paris and changing.
Your other option is that if you use a private shuttle form the airport you can get a return journey with them from DLP to your Paris hotel

Thank you!

I'm going by myself, so I think the shuttle will be just fine for a party of one.

As for after, according to my hotel's website (which is not very helpful)
the nearest Metro stations are:
Line 8, Station BALARD (I'm not sure, but from the website I'm guessing this is the closest one)
Line 12, Station PTE DE VERSAILLE
Line RER C, Station BLD VICTOR

Address : 8-12, rue Louis Armand
Town : 75015 PARIS
Country : FRANCE

However I have no idea which of those would be closest/fastest/safest walk to my hotel.

How far is it to walk from the Sequoia Lodge to a Metro/RER station?

Thanks for you help! :goodvibes

The station is at the entrance to the parks so it will take you about 10 mins to walk from Sequioa Lodge or you can get the park shuttle bus which drops you at the station (the bus stops are next to the station)

I'll look at my Paris map later and see if I can work out the best route for you from DLP to your hotel

If you are going to Ballard the easiest way to get there is to use the RER from DLP (line A ) - it only goes in one direction from DLP as its the end of the line.
Get off at Auber
Change to metro line 8 (direction Ballard) and the station is at the end of the line.

However looking at the map I have of Paris it looks as though the nearest metro stations to Rue Louis Armand are either Porte de Sevres or Porte d'Issy

If you are going to Porte de Sevres you would get off the RER at Nation
Change to metro line 9 - direction Porte de Sevres and again its the end of the line.

I think it would be worth calling into the tourist info centre at DLP - near the entrance to the park (they are meant to be very helpful in there) and getting them to work out your best route and they should be able to give you a map of Paris and the metro as well.

If you tell me the name of your hotel I'll have a look at their website if you want and see if there is anything else I can suggest. (PM if you prefer)
