Are there any beaches near DL that have a boardwalk type area where you can purchase knock off items such as sunglasses and purses?
Thanks!

Knock off items....hmmmmm.... Have no idea.
Huntington Beach pier has shops/dining.
Newport Pier has a lot of dining.....across the bay is Balboa Island - again w/ shopping & dining.
Fashion Island is a huge mall in NB.
But knockoffs? Unsure.....:confused3 I almost think a little boutique or shop in a strip mall inland would do you better.

I agree LA County may be better than OC....you know, have you tried this question on Yahoo Answers? The people on there CAN be helpful & knowledgable...from time to time. If you don't get an obnoxious punk kid who wants to answer.:rolleyes1

The best beach area that I can think of is the 3rd Street Promenade near Santa Monica Pier in Los Angeles

Nothing like back east. Venice as someone mentioned has some kitchsy stuff there ( lots to see too -- plenty of characters around of the non-Disney type ) - Newport Beach has some shops & restauarants near the water, as does Laguna. Laguna more art galleries though.
