Looks like Pop Warner will be there with us.
This link http://disneyworldsports.disney.go.com/dwws/en_US/events/eventDetail/detail?name=PopWarnerSuperBowlDetailPage&bhcp=1 has a ticker saying 103 days until the event which would have them arriving on December 5th. *sigh* :sad2:

We should be good since they are at all stars and Caribbean Beach
They are performing and competing most of the days. Should only see them at night
No worries :goodvibes

So apparently Chris has been doing research on wdwinfo.com (good hubby :goodvibes) and saw this http://www.wdwinfo.com/holidays/candlelight_processional.htm#dine about the Candlelight Processional for this year. So now, I have to change our itinerary and dinner plans one more time. Hopefully our list of resturants won't change any more after this. The change I haven't posted yet is that we were planning on doing two nights of two table service credit dinners (Jiko and Yachtsman Steakhouse) but now that I know the Candlelight Processional will take two TS Credits I will have to nix the Yachtsman Steakhouse and put Le Cellier for the Processional in it's place. Which in turn changes what parks we do which days since we will have to use a park day to be sure to be inside EPCOT for the Processional. I'll be working on that a bit here today when I get down time here at work so once I have it to a way that I am happy with I will share it here. :thumbsup2

I would imagine, for the ppl that aren't reserving Le Cellier for the Candlelight Processional it would be harder for them to get a table since I would assume they set aside a certain amount of tables just for that. I'm just planning on calling at 7:00am sharp on September 5th to book it. And if it's not available, I'll have to try for one of the other restaurants. Maybe Coral Reef :confused3

So I have some picture updates to do for you all. Yesterday when I got home from work I was surprised in the mail box by this
http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r244/leger13/Disney1-1.jpg
And here's what was inside
http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r244/leger13/Disne2.jpg
http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r244/leger13/Disney3-1.jpg
Basically the Disney mail that states "hi, you've booked a trip to see us. Thanks for your $!" :rotfl:
But literally this is what the first sentence of the letter says (it made me giggle)
"It's great to hear from you again. As someone who visits often, you already know much of the magic that's to be found here." :lmao: You think we go to WDW a lot??? :confused3:lmao:
And in the last couple of weeks I've made some purchases clothing wise for our trip.
I bought two pairs of pants from Victroia's Secret. They're like sweat pants but not really. I figured I could wear them to the parks a couple of days since they are SUPER comfy and will keep me warm if it is cold but not too warm if it gets warmer throughout the day. KWIM?
Here's the pink ones (I also got a navy pair but they are in the wash so I didn't get to take a pic of them)
http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r244/leger13/Clothes1.jpg
http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r244/leger13/Clothes2.jpg
Then on Monday night after work Chris took me shopping @ Old Navy since I had $100 to blow. I spent less than $75 and got 8 shirts and a pair of slacks.
This is what I plan on wearing to our dinner at Jiko. I know it's not very dressy but it's "business casual" in my opinion. At least it's not jeans. :thumbsup2
http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r244/leger13/Clothes4.jpg
I'll wear this under the pink shirt
http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r244/leger13/Clothes8.jpg
With these slacks
http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r244/leger13/Clothes5.jpg
Not sure what shoes yet :confused3
And here's the rest of what I bought (not pictured is a purple top with dark gray tank top that I wore yesterday to work)
http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r244/leger13/Clothes6.jpg
http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r244/leger13/Clothes7.jpg
So there you have it folks. My purchases so far for this trip. And my Disney Mail. Hope you enjoyed the update. :thumbsup2

I *think* they only have CP people at that time. If it works the same way Fantasmic seating does.
I'm planning to see CP but for 12/9.
I don't think we are at the same parks for the same days, either. Then again, I'm not completely certain until the park hours come out. My itin may completely change! LOL! :lmao:

Who is the narrator on the 9th? I can't remember what the list said.
:rotfl: yeah same here. I'm planning on calling Richard Petty to book Chris' riding experience tomorrow but that will be the only thing set in stone before I get the park hours. I'm planning on calling on September 1st to see if I can get a CM to tell me the hours.

Now is a good time to get stuff like that, with it being on sale for back to school. I saw an ad for one of the drug stores (CVS? Rite Aid? I can't remember...) and they had a special on notebooks - buy one get three free.

awww okay, I forgive you.
well, we like ice cream but not THAT much. So, I dunno what exactly we will do.
Yeah, we probably won't eat inside the park on the 11th. I wouldn't mind taking the monorail over to the GF so maybe we'll hit the Grand Floridian Cafe. Thanks for the suggestions.
I don't think I lost weight. Probably just the angle I was taking the picture from. But I do have pretty long legs. That's where all my height comes from. I have a very short torso. And :rotfl: about all the pink. I love it. I normally just buy blue. Trying to put some more color in my life :thumbsup2
Right. It was on sale. I like that one because it's cover is hard so the pages inside are better protected.

I have to look my best for the Big Guy :goodvibes Glad I'm not the only one that feels that way too. I promise I will post pictures of everything once I get my packages :thumbsup2

Thanks! Right! I'm nervous about making my ADR's. I will feel SO much better once all of that is done!! Thanks for the luck. I think I'll need it when I try for Le Cellier CP. So since you have a split stay you have to wait to do the other ones? I would think you can do them all on Thursday since it's 90 + 10 for resort guests. :confused3 I would try to make them all on Thursday if I were you so you don't have to worry about possibly not getting something you really want and having to wake up really early again for more ADR's. I hear you on the Le Cellier thing. I'm not trying to get it for dinner or for CP...just a regular lunch and in a trial run (to see if availability comes up) there has been nothing available!! :sad2: But, I'll see on Thursday. All the CM's I have spoken to said I'd have to wait to book the second half until the 90 day mark for that check in?? I think that's dumb since I'll still be on Disney property, just in a different resort! I am CERTAINLY going to try to do them all on Thursday anyway! I'll see what happens. I am planning on getting up and doing online ressies then what I don't have luck with, calling at 7!!:thumbsup2 Thanks for the well wishes! I hope you get all you want...we will all be discussing what we got soon!

First up, I got a Sony Handycam with a 60gb hard drive. Can't wait to really try it out! I'll be using it on Saturday for sure. We got tickets to go to the Bush NASCAR race. I can't wait to see what this thing can do! :thumbsup2

Thanks Jamie! Bummer that someone snatched your Stitch magnet. I've been afraid that someone is gonna gank mine since I got it but it hasn't happened yet.
Here's how the car purchase decision went down. I've been telling Chris for the last month that I wanted an automatic but knew I would have to wait a while for it. I even looked online in the area for anything I might be able to get him to agree to but nothing came up for me. On Monday evening Chris was browsing the web and went on a local dealer's site just to show me how unlikely it was gonna be for us to get me a new car just yet. But then he saw that Accord on the site that said "call this number to get a secret sales man price". The price they had listed on the site was over $26,000. The secret sales man price was $21,250. Chris about had a heart attack and then got all sly telling me he didn't want to tell me what was going on. So I finally got it out of him and then told him, "you realize that we have to go and look at the car and see if we can go and work a deal now, don't you?" Then yesterday, I was out at Office Depot on a work errand. I called Chris to tell him that we scored some free tickets to the NASCAR Bush race on Saturday and then he told me to ask my Dad if I could have lunch with him since he got off work early. My Dad didn't care so we met for lunch. The dealership with the Accord was right accross the street from where we ate so Chris took my car over there and I took his truck back to work and waited to hear the verdict. By the time I got to the dealership it was time to sign papers. :woohoo: So, it was a surprise but not at the same time. Not that you really wanted the whole story but it was necessary for me to say it was a surprise but not and have you understand why
I'm sorry. I've been a bad girl. Forgive me? :flower3:

Congrats on the new vehicle. My mother had a 88 Honda Accord for 20 years. She finally got rid of it last winter.
Can your video cam take HD video too? I've been thinking about a video cam for a while but not sure about the hard drive version. I am afraid every little vibration might cause hesitation during recording. Unlike solid state memory like a SD, CF or memory stick do not subject to vibration.
Good luck on your ADR tomorrow.

Thanks Peter. That's awesome that your mother had that car for so long. Hondas are great vehicles!!
My camera does not take HD video only SD. HD was too expensive for me but it is out there. I tried out my Camcorder for the first time last night and it seems to have done a pretty good job. Didn't have any issues with it. Loved how fast it was to start recording.
thanks! :thumbsup2

So there you have it. I'm REALLY excited about eating at Coral Reef and Le Cellier. I think out of all the ADR's I got the only one that I've already been to is LTT. I can't wait to try all these new places out. I tried as hard as I could to get Le Cellier for the CP but it just wasn't happening on the night we wanted. No biggie though. I also changed MVMCP night to the 10th because if I kept it on the 8th then we would have been eating late lunch @ Le Cellier and then early dinner at LTT on the same day. We would have been WAY too full to really enjoy ourselves at LTT. I'm happy with the way everything worked out and I'm VERY excited about it all!! I really can't wait for this trip!! :thumbsup2:yay:

I'm looking forward to Kona Cafe too. Since I'm off-site, I'm going to make ADRs daily.... :surfweb:
A friend of mine staying on-site included me on her Candlelight Processional and settled for Garden Grill instead of her #1 choice, Le Cellier. They are pretty hard to get, methinks.
I'm super-excited for CP... can't wait!!
I've been to the ICE Exhibit and it's great. Just be careful of the camera if you bring one. My lens didn't like the coldness. Definitely wear jeans or change into jeans because it is super-duper cold in there.

Oh really? Hmmmmm, well, I guess if it foggs then there's nothing I can do about that. I just know I don't want the condensation in my DSLR to ruin my lense and shutter so I'm not taking it in there. I'll have to check out your ptr. Not sure why I haven't yet. Sorry about that.
That's true you do save some $ not going to Le Cellier. I was wondering where the preferred Illuminations seats were gonna be too. I just can't see where they would put those. The best place so far that I've seen Illuminations from was from one of the cruises. I guess we'll find out when the time comes. :confused3

 well, I don't like cheese all that much so not sure how much I would like that soup. And if Chris eats it we will be running for a potty not that long after he eats it (he's slightly lactose intolerant so if he has a lot of cheese it is not a good thing.). I'll just have to take everyone's word for it on the soup.

I am having such a hard time catching up on your thread Carla. I'm like 8 pages behind or something. And I keep getting logged out because I'm taking too long to read and respond - people keep coming in and interrupting me. Trying to bookmark here so it stays up on my User CP until I can catch up. Did I see that you said something about your trip to DisneyLand next year? Well, that's one way to take the sting out of turning 30.:lmao:
haha well, like I told Dan, it's mostly just chatter. stupid people coming in and interrupting you! How dare they! :headache:
Don't listen to Cheri. Remember she's the one who eats those giant bugs! Sucks their wittle heads right off.
Well, it doesn't actually taste like cheese. More like toilet water. Not that I've ever had toilet water.
I'm so confused. Who is upset? What the hell did I miss?

Okay so it's announcement time. Sorry I've been slacking on the updates everyone. There hasn't been much to talk about since I made my ADR's.
So, for this trip in December I almost have it paid off. It should only take one more sizeable payment in the next couple of weeks to get it taken care of. It will be nice to have it all paid for. Becca is checking to see if she can get us an employee discount on the MVMCP tickets. So I still haven't bought that yet but I'm not all that concerned about that. Oh and I don't know if we will be doing the Segway Tour or not anymore. It all just really depends on money between now and the trip. Other than that not much to report. I'm sure things will pick up once December gets closer. I've also been looking for some new disney t-shirts to get too for this trip so when I get some I will post the pictures of them here.
As for the MAJOR update.......Chris and I were discussing how he might want to celebrate his 30th birthday next year seeing as how he's already been depressed about it. I want him to celebrate, not mourn his next birthday. So I thought an exciting trip would give him something to look forward to. Well, when I mentioned that to him he perked up. But I reminded him that there's nothing very exciting to do on this coast except for NYC and he has no real desire to go there so I started thinking. I suggested taking a trip out to DLR. He really liked that idea! The man hates flying so he wants to drive out there of course (32 and 1/2 hours!! :scared1:) but he threw in making it a 2 week long vacation, taking Becca along with us and stopping in Vegas on the way home to appeal to me and of course it did. I have never done a big road trip with anyone other than my parents so in all honesty, I'm actually really looking forward to it. So the plan is to drive out to California and spend the first week of August at the Disneyland Hotel. Go to DLR for 3 days and then explore Hollywood for 2 and a half days. The last half day in Hollywood we will go to a taping of the Price Is Rite and then drive out to Vegas from there. We'll spend about 3 days in Vegas and then drive the rest of the way home. The reason we picked the first 2 weeks of August to go instead of go on Chris' actual birthday is because Becca is a teacher and once school starts she won't be able to take a 2 week long vacation. And that's just fine with us. Chris would rather have my besty with us to have more fun rather than go to DLR on his actual bday. It's gonna be a BLAST and I absolutely can NOT wait!!! If you've not noticed yet, I already put up the ticker and I can't believe it's less than a year away! I plan on actually booking the trip in December. I'm not too sure about everything there is to do in Hollywood or Vegas so I plan on getting UG's for both places but any ideas or suggestions would be great from you all. I will do a ptr when it gets closer to next August but for now, if there's anything to report on the Disneyland side of things, I will post them here.

Thanks girl. I'm excited for sure! And you're right about having 4 drivers helping. I think if it was just Chris and I we would be at eachother's throats by the time we got to Cali
Doesn't it though? I'm really excited about that too. It just looks SO fun even though it doesn't have a specific theme. I actually like that about it.
LOL you and me both girl. I'm so confused by them and can't wait to get my Vegas UG to get everything straightened out.

Okeydoke Carla - it took me a while but I'm finally on board for your PTR/Mini-TR!
I remembered all the trouble you had trying to get your trip together last September, all the on again/off again stuff and money issues. Wow, sounds like it has been pretty eventful just getting things going for this one too.
Well hopefully all the icky stuff is over with and this one will be everything you dreamed of. Mucho cool of you to pay for Rebecca and her hubby's room for her 30th! :woohoo:
Great idea about combining your dining with resort decoration viewing. And I think you changing your dates to the 3rd - 11th will be perfect, all the decorations without the big crowds. And nice bonus that it was $64 cheaper - you're already recouping from the money you lost on the rental downpayment:goodvibes
Nice to see the cast of characters, family, old friends, and DIS friends. Say howdy to Sharky for me ;-]
I know it can be a pain to have to keep changing up your itinerary, but being able to make the candlelight processional would certainly be worth it. See now, you spent money on "normal" clothes for your trip. Other than new Asics shoes, all our clothes money has gone into costumes :lmao: pirate:
Oh, and on Chris's 30th - tell him that my 40th was one of the best B-Day parties I ever had. You're only as old as you feel and all that. And doing DLR and Vegas certainly makes it a memorable one. I've driven cross country before, it can be a lot of fun as long as you aren't too cramped and you leave plenty of time to stop and see stuff rather than just driving constantly. I'll be looking forward to your PTR on that one.
That's it for me tonight, I'll check back in later to catch up on your mini TR. Cheers and hope you're having a great weekend!

:woohoo: you found me Mike! Thanks for stopping by and reading everything.
Yeah, last year's trip was ....ugh! This one started out the same way but ever since that little hitch in the road with the vacation home rental everything has been smooth sailing from there.
Thanks! I thought it would be a good idea too and that way we don't have to take extra time to go to the resorts just to see the decorations themselves. I hope it works out the way I'm thinking. And you're right, saving $ by booking the free dining package does recoup some of the $ we lost on the vacation rental. I didn't even look at it that way :goodvibes
I will pass along the hello to Sharky for you when we get together (although she will see that you said that here too )
Thanks, I'm really looking fwd to the CP. I for sure like our itinerary much more now than I did when I first did my itinerary. Plus, I even finagled an extra day at the parks. Cause I'm sneaky like that  I do plan on getting some more "normal" clothes for our trip. I be those halloween costumes did take a big chunk of change. But it will be worth it to see how awesome you guys look at MNSSHP. I can't wait to see all of your pictures when you get back. I'll be taking notes too from your TR for sure since we are going to dlr next year.
I remember seeing the pictures you posted from your 40th on FB. Really did look like you had a blast. I know Chris is looking fwd to DLR. I do keep telling him that 30 is nothing to sneeze at but he's not listening to me. So hopefully this trip will ease the blow. And I think you're right about stopping to see things along the way breaking up the trip. I think we will for sure have to do that. This will for sure be an interesting trip for me to plan. I'm up for the challenge though.
Thanks again for coming by :goodvibes Hope you are having a great weekend too.

This was us walking around exploring the vendors and all the free things ppl were giving out.

Thank you about my weekend - yesterday was JoGro (leaves/grass/branch drop off) and a dump run.
:thumbsup2
well let's hope that none of the drivers get the other 3 lost!! Such a long trip, the rest might be sleeping while one drives...

:lmao: yeah fingers crossed. What I'm going to suggest before we leave is that the two up front stay awake and the two in the back sleep. That way, whoever is driving has someone to help navigate and keep them awake. Hope it works out that way.

oooo NYC huh? That sounds like fun! They going up there for a parade or something? I think you might have mentioned it before but I totally can't remember right now
 I bet that's gonna be funny for others to witness at DLR. ::smack smack:: "And we're rolling!" :rotfl:
Yes, Kyra is marching in the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade in Nov 2010 - first Oregon school to ever attend :yay: :cheer2: I'll probably do a TR for that too on the community board. Roxy and I are going for moral support but aren't chaperoning so we'll get the fun of NYC and seeing her perform without the stress :thumbsup2
They have a tour package set up for all of us that includes hotel, breakfast & dinner, a broadway show (TBA), a tour of Groud Zero, the Statue of Liberty, and Ellis Island.
Oh yes! And when I'm in my pirate costume I'll get to say "Aaarrrggghhhh!!!" when I'm slapping it :lmao:
Good call with the driving, keep it on a rotation and don't zone out. Just gotta make sure nobody tries to stick feet with stinky socks up front from the back seat ;):rotfl2:

Well, the plan is to drive half a day, through the night and then all day and stop somewhere that night and drive the rest of the way the next day so it will (in theory) only take us about 2 and a half days to drive out there and back. We'll have to see how it goes.

Hehe, yup - there is at least one more fan here ;) Ohhh, I hated Mike Meyers cameo - it sooo took me out of the moment. I don't know what he did to deserve it, but I wish he hadn't done it.
Oh really? Very cool indeed :cool2: Wikipedia has some good info on it, and the 2014 date just seems to have to do with him doing another film before doing KB3.
Roxy and I have 15 years in on our marriage and we make it work by having things we do together AND things we do apart. It all comes together to keep us both reasonably sane
8th grade aye? Let me see ....when they got married I was in Germany in the Army. We were ramping up for Desert Storm and waiting to see if my unit would deploy

Sweet! I'm glad you agree with me. I've only talked to one person so far that was actually happy to see him in the flick.
Well, If you think about it a little bit more, remember the daughter of the black chick that Beatrix killed in the beginning of the first Kill Bill? Beatrix looked at her after she killed her mother and told her that if she's still ill after 10 years go by and she wants revenge to come and find her. The first Kill Bill was put out in 2003 so if he puts out #3 in 2014 then that would actually be an 11 year seperation. That's Chris' theory as to why Tarentino is waiting until 2014 to release #3. He's gonna bring that little girl back for revenge. If you read any of the interviews that he has done on the subject that is where he has said he would expand the story on. I'm excited for it and I hope he goes through with it.
15 years is great! And that's exactly what Chris and I do too....things separately and things together. It works out well that way :goodvibes
Wow, I had no idea you were ever in the Army. That's super neat! So did you wind up getting deployed? I have a friend that was in the Army around Desert Storm too. And he was deployed. He's now an Orlando Police Officer.

Well that makes sense about waiting the 10 years real time - just the kind of thing Tarantino would do. And it would be very cool if he wrangled the actual girl who played the daughter to reprise the role. And the wiki page did quote that it was going to be about revenge on the bride.
Yes, it is a good formula for us. We just need to find more time to get away from the kids ...if only for an evening. More dinners and movies and such. Heck, I like just driving around in the countryside with her with no destination in mind. See where the road takes us.
Yup, I did 4 years, from 1987-91. I trained in Ft Sill, OK and was stationed in Ft. Hood, TX and Baumholder (then) West Germany, which is in the Bavarian Alps near the French border. I was an MLRS (Multiple Launch Rocket Systems) crewmenber and drove a huge rocket resupply vehicle called a HEMTT and also the rocket launcher itself.
I was in for Desert Storm but my unit did not deploy - they only took full batallions of MLRS over there and we were a single unit. Instead we pulled gate guard in the snow to make sure "terrorists" didn't try to drive on to our wonderfully secluded post.
I was also in Germany for the fall of the Berlin wall, which was very cool. We were actually in a training area called Grafenwoehr or "Graf" on the east/west border when it all happened. Here's a pic of my platoon from that exercise (I'm up front crouching):
http://ronin.roguecc.edu/images/3rdAm.JPG
And zoomed out to see the HEMTT I drove:
http://ronin.roguecc.edu/images/3rdAmmo.JPG
And a close-up of me (don't I look cute):
http://ronin.roguecc.edu/images/army.JPG
And an interesting aside, the post at Baumholder was actually constructed in the mid-1930s by nazi Germany. The barracks I lived in were formerly German cavalry barracks. Here's a shot of the field where we played sports and did ceremonies in - before and after:
http://ronin.roguecc.edu/images/Minnick.JPG
Back to the fall of the wall - we convoyed back from Graf surrounded by carloads of East German families who had everything they owned stuffed into these little "trabi" cars. It was an interesting time for sure.
and I was EIGHT! ;)

Well, it looks like I'm gonna have to change my DLR ticker. Chris and I talked while we were at dinner on Friday night and I told him that I just don't think that my Dad is going to be kosher with me going out of town for 2 weeks straight. It's a small company and I handle a lot there that he has to do whenever I'm not there. So since Chris still won't fly commercial we decided to do land and sea to celebrate his birthday next year. But we will do it in December. September is just too hot and plus with going in December that will give us some more time to get the trip paid for. All in all it's just gonna work out better for us. I'm still excited and think the cruise will be fun. This leaves us another week of vacation time free for me from work so we can plan some other type of vacation. We're thinking DC possibly. I'm trying to talk Chris into getting AP's next year too. He wants to take a weekend long trip down to disney for MNSSHP in Sept or Oct and maybe we will go again for our anniversary. So if we do those two trips, plus a week down there in December again they will pay have paid for themselves. I hope he gives in. I want to have the option to go to Disney on the weekends when I want :thumbsup2 Maybe we'll even make it down for the 4th of July. hmmmmmm
Anyways, that's what's going on right now. I have some updates on our park days for this triip. I'll probably post that tomorrow since I didn't get it up on Friday and I'm guessing it will be slow at work since most everyone else is off for Columbus day. Hope everyone has had a good weekend. :goodvibes

yeah, an update!!
Another nice thing about DVC is the 30% off AP price!! makes the AP much more reasonable...you only have to go into the parks 7-8 days to get your money's worth.
So you have to tell Chris that if you'd own DVC, then it would make more economical sense to get a AP, right?
:rotfl::rotfl2:
I'm sure he'll fall for that one!;):lmao:

The fear was instilled in him growing up. His mother is afraid and the one time he did fly he had BAD turbulence and hated it. He hasn't tried it again since then. Plus he says it's a "control issue". :confused3 I just think of it as a big bus in the sky. I love to fly. It's fun!

Ok, as promised, I'm finally getting around to my update. Trying to get it in here before work gets busy (if that actually happens today).
It's really nothing major but I figured it would be appropriate to put this up here today since today is my 45 day mark!! :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo: Disney says it's tomorrow but that is because I'm not actually checking into Pop until December 4th but we are driving down to visit my grandparents on the 3rd. So today is 45 days!! WooHoo!!!!!
Anyways, my update is just a list of what I think our "Must Do's" will/should be this year at each park. Whether or not we make it to all of them all depends on what happens while we are there but I'm certainly going to try my best.
Here it is. Our "Must Do's" at each park (and then some)
I'm going to start off by saying that two of my Must Do's are at resorts. First of all is the Contemporary. I have dinner scheduled at pretty much every other deluxe resort that I want to see the decorations at except for this one. I have heard that they have a huge gingerbread house there so I wanna see it.
The next one is the Boardwalk. I've never been there and really want to make it over there this time to see what I'm missing out on. Plus I want to see the decorations and hit up Jelly Rolls. :thumbsup2
Must Do's at Magic Kingdom
*Big Thunder Mountain Rail Road (I doubt Chris will get on this but I will so he'll just have to wait while I ride)
*Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin (one of Chris' favorites.....maybe I'll get lucky and beat his score this time )
*Carousel of Progress (this is a classic and must be ridden at least once every trip)
*Country Bears Jamboree (this is another classic and I've heard they do a special Christmas show)
*Hall of Presidents (I could care less about this but I know they have updated since Obama got into office and Chris loves history so we manage to make it here every trip. I just enjoy the comfy seats and AC)
*Haunted Mansion (I'm sure we'll ride this more than once)
*It's A Small World (I've loved this ride ever since I was a child so it's a must do)
*Mad Tea Party (because I'm in for punishment)
*Mickey's Philharmagic
*Peter Pan's Flight
*Pirates of The Caribbean (we'll be on this more than once as well)
*Space Mountain (Chris won't ride this either.....not after '07 )
*Splash Mountain (another one Chris won't ride again but I have the picture hung on the wall to prove that he at least did it once)
*Tomorrow Land Transit Authority (when we need a break)
EPCOT
-Future World
*Innoventions
*Nemo
*Soarin' (I haven't been able to talk Chris into this one yet due to the heights that the seats go to but cross your fingers...maybe he'll try it this year)
*Spaceship Earth
*Test Track (I asked Chris how many times he was gonna ride this one and he said at least 5 or 6......I told him to shoot for 9 for the year)
-World Showcase
*Hit a shop in each country
*O'Canada (because my Mom is French Canadian and so is Chris' dad and we still haven't seen the new show yet)
*Gran Fiesta Tour
*Maelstrom
(the last two are mainly because there's not many rides in the World Showcase)
MGM
*American Idol Experiance
*Fantasmic
*The Great Movie Ride
*Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular
*Animation Studio (I'm bound and determined to get into a class where they are drawing Stitch this year!!)
*Muppet Vision 3D
*Rock n Roller Coaster
*Star Tours (I'll ride this once, Chris will ride it over and over again if there is no line)
*Tower of Terror (really wanna ride this more than once this year)
*Toy Story Mania (I wonder if the fact that I have the Wii game will ruin the ride experiance for me.......that would suck)
Animal Kingdom
Sidenote: We haven't spent more than a few hours here before. My goal is to stay longer here this time and really enjoy ourselves. Tired of saying there is a Disney park that I don't like at all.
*Dinosaur
*Expedition Everest (really wanna ride this one in the dark.....thank goodness for EMH's!!)
*It's Tough To Be A Bug
*Kali River Rapids (this one all depends on how cold it is the day we are at AK)
*Pangani Forest Exploration (wanna see the gorillas!!)
So that's it. Our "must do" list! Comments from the peanut gallery?

All of your rides are tons of fun! We are very lucky that all of us (even the little one) love big rides! He went on TOT when he was 3!!! And, said it was "awesome"!

Fingers crossed! I keep trying to tell him how neat it is but I doubt he'll get on it. The sensation of flying and knowing he's high up........:scared1:<-----that's his reaction. I'll be doing good to get him on BTMRR. I'm trying to tell him that one is like Goofy's Barnstormer, only a little faster. Wonder if he believes me.
I'm thinking the reasons we didn't like AK so much is because 1) too hot (as you said) and 2) I got really clausterphobic due to all the trees (thinking if I walk further into the park as soon as we get there, out into the open that will help) and 3) all we did was Kilimanjaro Safari and Rifiki's Planet watch. That took up half the day right there and we were SO ready to go by the time we got back out to where the Tree of Life is. I'm willing to brave it again just so I can ride EE! Super excited for that! :woohoo: Plus thinking the EMH's will help too. Fingers crossed.

Thanks girl. I love the zoo too. Like I told Kelly, I think the biggest reason I didn't like AK is 'cause the safari took too darned long and the fact that the trees were making me feel very closed in. I think once I walk out into the park more I will enjoy it more. I'm really looking forward to riding EE and seeing more of the animals.
Wow you ARE very lucky that all of you like the thrill rides!! I wish I could get Chris on them. He actually told me a few days ago that if ToT only had one drop he would probably ride it. :headache: Oh well. Maybe if he likes BTMRR, in a few years I'll be able to get him on RnRC. Baby steps. :thumbsup2
I agree. You wouldn't think the height thing would bother a lot of ppl since you're strapped pretty good into the seats but Chris just had the luck of having his parents instill a lot of fear of the unknown into him. It's hard to get him to try new things but I'm finding that the longer he is married to me the more I rub off on him. As long as I don't force him into anything and it's his idea it's all good. :thumbsup2

I'M SO SO SO EXCITED!!! WOOHOO!!!!
And I'll have another update coming later today. :thumbsup2
So exciting...I already knew this so I'm sorry I didn't stop by here to celebrate with you!
I love the list from today. Chris cracks me up that he rides Star Tours over and over. Once a trip is PLENTY enough for me. We didn't even ride it at all this past trip and we are perfectly okay with that.

That's okay girl. We talk all the time so I knew you were excited for me :thumbsup2
I know, he's such a kid. And he practically runs to that ride (And HM) every time we are at the parks! I can't keep up with him. I don't think I could skip Star Tours but when Chris says he wants to ride it after we have ridden it already I go and ride ToT or RnRC instead since he won't ride those. I would much rather ride a thrill ride over and over.

Your must-do list looks great! We made our must-do list either last week or the week before. I have to find time to post it in my PTR.

Thanks Kelly!
I think Barnstormers is faster than Big Thunder Mountain...:rotfl:

Soarin is my absolute, hands down favorite ride. I could ride it all day. :cloud9: Maybe if you tell the CM's of his height fear they can put you in the the bottom row? :confused3
I think Barnstormers is faster than Big Thunder Mountain...:rotfl:
 You might be right! I love BMTRR! :lovestruc Sara (mom2mek) just posted a video on her TR of them riding it.... got me so excited!!! I can't wait!

Thanks girl :goodvibes yeah! We gotta see your must do's :thumbsup2

:rotfl: I might have to see if I can find that info online so I can prove it to Chris.

Yeah good idea. I mentioned riding it on the bottom before to Chris and he didn't really say anything. Have you ridden it on the bottom? I've only ridden it on the top so i have no idea how far off the ground the bottom gets.
oooooooo that sounds awesome! I can't wait too!!

I just checked on the all knowing Wikipedia and Goofy's top speed is 20mph and Big Thunder Mountain Rail Road's top speed is 35mph. I have no idea if he'll get on it. That's really not fast at all but I know SM's top speed is 35mph too and he hated it. I think mostly because it was in the dark. We'll see. :confused3

Tell him it is like Test Track on the end part, where you race around track, but instead of track, you are racing on a hill (moutain) :rotfl:

 yeah maybe that would work. I was just telling him about it and he didn't seem like he wouldn't get on it. I said "well, just make your decision while we're in line. At least you can watch it go around a few times before you decide to get on it or not. " He said, "yeah, that's usually how I roll". I think that was the other reason he didn't like SM since you can't see any of the ride before you actually get on it.

Hey Carla! Finally checking back in after our DLR trip - whoohoo!
WOW Mustard. Love your pics. Sounds like you had a very cool military career :thumbsup2
Thankyee! It was a colorful time for sure. I made some great friends and had some amazing adventures :thumbsup2
Mike ~ thank you so much for sharing your pictures with us. That is just SO neat! I'm glad you guys didn't actually get deployed. What a fantastic experiance that must have been. You look so bad a$$ with that gun next to that HUGE truck!!
You're welcome! Looking back I still have mixed feelings about not having deployed. But my fam is with you about being happy that I didn't ;) Thanks for the compliment about the pic - we weren't exactly a "hard core" bunch, but we looked the part with all that gear :rotfl2:

YAHOOO!!!!! :woohoo: :yay: :woohoo: :yay: :woohoo:
:goodvibes
Some big changes for sure, but I like the idea of all of those little trips. Roxy has the same problem that you do, being the office manager and only real office person for the business she works for. Makes it hard to get away for any lenght of time ...especially with payroll every 2 weeks.
WOW! Quite the list there! Love your choice except I agree with Chris about Space Mountain. That ride should be re-titled "The Whiplash Express". I did ride the "Ghost Galaxy" themed SM at DLR though, smoother ride overall and cool halloween effects :thumbsup2
Good luck getting Stitch in the animation studios and hope you get to ride ToT more than once! And I agree about AK - just need to take the time and really drink that place in. It almost seemed an afterthought on our trip.

Hopefully he'll do Big Thunder with ya, it is pretty fun and not near as whiplashey/dark as SM

Hey there Mike! Thanks for stopping by :goodvibes:
 well, as long as you look hard core that's all that matters.
Thanks. I think it will be fun and we might even get to see Kelly again in the mix. :thumbsup2 That stinks that Roxy has that problem too. I feel her pain. It really stinks. And we have payroll every week here. But when I'm not here my Dad does it even though he hates it. He hates to do the tedious things.
Thank ya. Yeah SM is pretty whiplashy. I think with the renovation having just taken place when we get there in December it will be better. Or at least I'm hoping. I can't wait to ride the new version. The halloween themed one at DLR sounds awesome though.
Thanks! Yeah, that's what I'm going to try to do at AK this year. I am thinking I might go and see my Dr to get some kind of meds for my panic attacks before we go to WDW this year. Thinking just having the meds will help. And maybe I can take one before going to AK so I don't get the closed in feeling before we get into the park far enough for me to not feel like I'm trapped. The older I get the worse these panic attacks seem to get.
Thanks. I really hope I can convince him to ride. I think he would enjoy it if he just tried.
