I don't plan in participating in DIS CON 2, but I hope to do some mini-meets and would like to do some with people with kids. Mine will be 2 1/2 and 5....
I think it would be neat for them to meet some new friends..:D

Bandie the labrador retriever keeps telling me he wants to come, but I don't think the Dolphin would be thrilled.

My 2yo (3 in Mar 03) and 7yo (8 in Jan 03) will be there. I'm not sure if we'll be attending any of the formal stuff....we'll be at BWV and my parents are with us until the 7th. When info about registrations comes out I'll be able to make the decision...really love the Illuminations dessert party idea! We'll be at the MVMCP on the 8th.

Perhaps a DIS CON II w/kids mini-meet is in order? My kids always love to meet new friends!

My now 9 yr old and 5 yr old ( almost 10 and 6 by then ) will be there. I'm uncertain if I will do any of the official stuff but I will for sure do a lot of the "unofficial" stuff. DH will be there to babysit while I have some fun!

Correction:
My kids WILL NOT be there with me , they will be home with Daddy as long as he doesn't change his mind and gets airline tickets, I already got mine!!

I am not sure yet if my children are attending or not...I think my parents are going to be watching them, but I am not sure what day they are coming back from their vacation yet, so it is still 'iffy'! LOL...but if they do attend, it will only be certain things and they won't be there for any nighttime activities! LOL

Shep - I'm sorry that I can bring Sarah (and the rest of the family) along, but both of my kids are going to be in school. I took them out of school for a Disney vacation this winter, and wouldn't you know that the 4 days that James missed for vacation were the only 4 days that he missed the entire year. :earseek:

I know that Sarah would love the opportunity to play with your kids again. She had a great time at the Columbus Zoo. Perhaps next Memorial Day....

We are planning on bringing our DS (age 7). DH will be there to babysit during the non-kid friendly activities. Anyone thought of maybe a pirate cruise mini-meet for the kids??? or maybe one of those cooking things at the GF?

A Pirate Cruise mini-meet sounds great....send the kids off and we can all hang out at the GF until they return! Of course my dd is too little to go....but my ds has done it twice and loves it. Anyone going to still be around on Monday the 9th? Our week before is kind of full with my parents joining us....

The cooking thing really isn't an option for us as ds wouldn't be able to eat anything they make....he can't have artificial colors or flavorings. Sounds fun though.

I don't think we'll be doing any of the official events.....we won't be able to go to everything if we do sign up, so it seems like too much of an expense for us if we'll be missing half of it.

Tia and Dayna:

You guys are so sweet! I guess it's hard to lurk around here!

I'm crossing my fingers that I can go this year! I usually cannot take that week because it's the week my boss takes and I'm her back up but after 11 years she QUIT last week! Well, I decided to reserve that week before someone else got it!

I'm really looking forward to this!

Shep your girls are sooooo adorable!!

So glad Michael may be going. If he goes, my kids will go for sure, they love their cousin Michael. :)

My boys would probably love the pirates cruise!

BTW, my kids are 7 and 4 (or will be by December).

We're not participating in DIS-CON either as we won't arrive until the 6th but we will have kids and were hoping to meet a few DIS'ers. We will have a 5 year old girl and a 5 month old boy. The 5 month old isn't much fun to play with but he is awfully cute! ;)

Include my family in the "Unofficial" activities. We will have my DS(7) and MIL along and are doing the Dec 8th MVMCP. DS loves to try to keep up with the older kids and is gentle with the younger ones, so he would love to have others to play with.

Brent, are you going to Chef Mickey's before MVMCP? My 7yo ds would probably love to have another guy his age around....though he's also great with kids of all ages (with a 2yo sister I'm not sure if this is natural or a miracle, but I'll take it!)

Joyful1, we'll be at the Polynesian at the same time .....until the 10th anyway. One of my kids' best friends is a 5yo girl...so I bet they'd get along great! We'll have to get together.

As for the pirate cruise...unfortunately its booked up for Dec. 9th which would be the ideal date for us. Hey, perhaps that night we can all book the "of age" kidlets into the Neverland Club for a few hours to play together and go hang out at the Tambu Lounge or have dessert at the Kona Cafe. Either would work for those of us with littles... Tambu is sort of situated in the lobby where my dd loves to explore the furniture, and she'd love dessert or any drink with an umbrella (non-alc, of course) If its warm enough we could even hang by the pool or on the beach. Just an idea...
