I don't know if this has been posted anywhere else but Jen's son had surgery this morning and all went well. I'm sure any prayers you all can offer for a speedy recovery would be appreciated!

My niece had this done..and the difference in her hearing was immediate. When they returned home..they had to lower the volume on the TV...she covered her ears because it was "too loud"...something that had never had to do prior to her getting tubes. Of course then the ear infections that caused the damage to her hearing, ended as well. :thumbsup2
Has anyone heard how CJ is doing?

When we got the dog neutered it cured a lot of that. My new approach to teenager-hood. :thumbsup2

CJ is doing fine. Thanks for all the well wishes. He went back to school today and his class sent him colored get well pictures in the mail. He told me that it made his heart feel really good. I let him read all these posts too and he was just as touched. Now, to get the little thing to actually start acting like a 5 year old instead of a 72 year old gieser? Dunno...still working on it...;)

Sorry so way out of the loop. Glad to hear things went well. Don't forget to get his hearing checked. The tubes make a huge diference but often the docs forget the hearing tests after, and you never know. Way to go CJ!

He has his follow up appointment on the 29th. The hearing test is one of my first questions to the Dr.
He is very sensitive to sound right now, which is to be expected. We took him to Cold Stone Creamery last week and I had to cover his ears when the blenders came on.

One of my grandson may need to have tubes put in his ears, he's had many ear infections and this may be the solution. I hope not, but I'm glad CJ is doing well and hope his recovery is quick and complete

I did miss you as well. CJ's follow up is Friday after his preschool graduation. He played all day Sunday in the water at the splash zone and nothing yet, so I think we are good.
