Have some bounceback questions....

I've tried doing a few searches to learn more about the bounceback offers left in resort rooms, including checking Mousesavers, but am unclear on a few things. For example, and of course knowing the answers would be based on experiences of others in the past, we are staying at CBR 9/26 - 10/3. I understand that the current bounceback offer is 30% off resorts, 40% off villas. Would I be able to book the same week for 2010 at the bounceback rate? If no, what is the typical cut-off for the bounceback offer?

Well, of course it's hard to predict what they will be offering while you are there, but based on last year, if you go during the dates you posted, your Bounceback offer might be like last years during that time period - which was to be able to book a Free Dining package a year ahead for the next year's Free Dining dates (this was instead of a Bounceback room discount offer).

Last year they stopped the room discount Bounceback right around the Free Dining period and started a Free Dining Bounceback where you could book a Free Dining package again for the next year (but with no room discount). For example, the Bounceback offer to resort guests staying between 8/24-10/24/08 was to be able to book a Free Dining package ahead for the next year (for dates 8/23-10/8/09).

Again, this was the only BB during that time - there was no room discount BB offered until after that Free Dining Bounceback offer ended. Then another BB began in November, and that one was for room discounts for bookings on certain dates between December '08 - October '09 (but no Free Dining).

The Book-a-Year-Ahead Free Dining BB seemed pretty popular with lots of DISers posting last summer that they booked ahead for this year, so just my guesstimate that it might be coming back this year too. :cutie:

Don't know if this will be helpful, but we booked the bounceback when we were there in March. The offer was only for the rest of 2009. We stayed at POR and our offer was for 40% off moderates and deluxes. We had friends that stayed at Pop and theirs was for 30% off.

I just booked a bounceback for December for the two nights before our DVC stay. We were at Pop when we got the offer and it was for 30% off a moderate or 20% off a value. Only dates in 2009 with a few black out weeks.
