Go on royalmail.com and you can get a free quote. You go to personal customers and put in overseas and the weight of the parcel. You then select Austria from the drop-down menu and you will be given a number of options. It depends whether you want it to be signed for. I have sent a few things abroad and use the standard airmail small packets. It covers you for items up to about 40, I think and takes about 4 days - there is no tracking though.

I've sold a few things to Ebayers in Europe and have always used the Royal Mail 'International Signed For' postage. It costs a little more but lets you track the item. There is also less chance of the buyer claiming the item hasn't arrived.
