Totally bummed out...

So, I just found out that Virgin Megastore will be closing today at the end of operation for good, instead of the original May 31 closing date. I think that sucks! That's where I go to update my Cher collection if I need to. DBF and I usually stay in there for hours when we go to DTD. :( Well, we're ready for DTD to be even more dead than it is now.

Last rumour I heard was an I-Max cinema :confused3 I'd rather have Virgin though, it's the only reason we went to the West Side :confused:

Wow. If they really did close, they must have had a lot of inventory left. We were there not too terribly long ago, and there were loads and loads of things left (all but what I wanted, of course)! LOL.

They must have sold it all to an off market shop for a more cost effective measure than keeping it open would have been? :confused:

Is Disney trying to dismantle DTD in it's entirety? It's absolutely ruined PI. The "new entertainment" there is a total embarrassment. :confused3 Now, the west side, which has always been slowish and rather boring has less to recommend it. I know that Virgin's closing wasn't a Disney thing, but...

Very sad. I had been planning on stopping by this weekend, then saw it closed yesterday. Got a few cd's for 20% off (shrek and in the heights broadway cd's) then extra 10% off for AP discount. Probably could have gotten them cheaper on ebay, but I wanted them. :goodvibes

The IMAX Cinema is going into the existing AMC building as an additional theatre. The latest rumor I heard is that they may bring an Apple Store to DTD in place of Virgin.
