View Full Version : OT: Star Trek!
OK, I figure if I was going to out myself as a Trekkie, this would be a great place to do it, right? :goodvibes:
I went to the movie over the weekend and LOVED it. Highly recommend it to fans and non-fans alike. Since then I've been reading comments at a couple of forums but was wondering if anyone could recommend a forum from personal experience. Not necessarily looking for a gay Star Trek forum, but if such a thing existed, that would be great! Feel free to PM me with info!
I'm going to go ask the same question on the community board thread on the new movie. I hope that's not cross-posting. I just feel safer in here. Some times it can be scary over there :scared1:!!

We saw it on Friday. Us (2) plus 2 of my distant coworkers...all felt going to the movies was better than working on Friday afternoon. Since that was the first time sun was seen in like 500 days everybody was out.
I was a bit scared...a whole group of people in red "expendable" t-shirts...and other various themed garb. Oh my! We were at a Cinema De Lux in a director's hall theatre which was great...reserved seating so we didn't have to hurry. Very cushy seats!

I just saw this in IMAX. LOVED LOVED LOVED it. The guys are hott. Especially Dr McCoy !!! LOL
I hope they make lots of sequels.
Yeah, the eye candy certainly didn't hurt! :lmao:
Karl Urban was fantastic as McCoy... really blew away my expectations. Zachary Quinto too. And there was one moment towards the end of the film where Chris Pine really was Kirk (he was coming onto the bridge and said Bones's name... it was great!)

Okay, we LOVED it!
It was awesome!
Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto and Karl Urban were fantastic. The rest were really good, too. But those three really pulled it off well. (Plus they were all HAWT!)
Speaking of hot, what about Chris Hemsworth who played Kirk's dad. WOOF! He could crash into my starship any day!

He crashed into Eric Bana's spaceship. Can you blame him?

Fantastic movie with a gorgeous cast.
If I had to "make a list", Kirk would be first in line, followed by his old man George and then... *ahem* Chekov.

I read somewhere that Leonard Nimoy warned Zachary Quinto if he knew what he was getting into.
OMG how could I forget George Kirk?! Google him... yowza!! The Kirks definitely had the beautiful gene!
