New Universal goer with hotel question.

So, after reading about the FOTL pass etc on this site, I really want to stay onsite I think. We are not going until December, when do discount codes/offers usually come out. Right now the RPR is at least $249 on their website and AAA rate is $211. Is it reasonable to expect the rates to come?
