After reading anouther thread about the $15 MB at VB, I called QA to ask why I only got $10. They said the price for MB had changed. That is understandable, but the price changed while they had my paperwork, and waiting to close. They silently let it close without any notification that the effective price just dropped by $5 pp.
I feel I was taken for $5 pp. If I had any way of knowing this, I could have recinded and re-bought.
I feel the upstanding thing would have been for my guide to notify me of this change.
Am I wrong for feeling this way???

I think you got what you agreed to.

Indeed I did, but I still don't think that makes it "right".

I wonder if a car dealer would give a rebate after the fact? I don't think so. It seems to me when you sign a contract that both parties have agreed on something.

Did it change from $10 to $15 when the price per point changed from $75 to $80? So it comes out the same?

I don't know. The first reastion may be that you get what you signed, but on anything else, if there is a price drop between making inquiries, signing up and the actual closing, I think your guide should have made you aware of it.

That's just it...it was NOT "after the fact"
If you put a deposit on something, and can still back out of it (recision period), the lower price should prevail.

Okay, now QA said it used to be $13 pp MB, not $10. Can anyone verify this??? I got $10. Could it all be wrong?

I was at the member update at BWV on Thursday, June 6th. The host said that the new MB incentive had started on that Monday (June 3rd). With the price change from $75 to $80 occuring on Saturday, June 1st, your deal came out the same. I'm assuming that you purchased before June 1st at $75 pp??

Thank you WDW, I think you just put my mind at ease a bit. :D

Whew! Glad that worked out. If there had not been a price change at the same time, I think I would certainly have called my guide to task on this oversight. As it turns out, there wasn't anything for the guide to contact you about.

I think you could have gotten a better deal.
I decided on getting a small add-on at VB when price was still at $75. When I heard about the MB's going from $10 to $15, I called my guide and he said that he has already indicated in the re-write paperwork to reflect the change (I need a re-write on my contract due to other reasons).
Therefore, when I close on VB, I will be paying $60pp, even though the current price is $80pp.

Thanx Pam. I do hope that is the way it turns out.
lucky, I hope that somehow you got a better deal than you were suppose to. I will know tommorow.

I will keep you posted.
However, it was a little tricky. My guide did not call me about the change. I called him to inquire about this and he told me that he was going to make it a "surprise" when I get the re-write. So I am not quite sure if I have gotten this if I did not call him.
(Thanks to this board, I would not have known about the MB increase otherwise).
Anyway, for a small add-on, the difference is not that significant. I just hope that everyone in my family will like VB since we have never been there and we have never had a "beach" vacation.

Eeyore2u...
Just wanted to let you know that my dealership has held paperwork on closed deals and rewritten them when we've gotten notification of a new interest rate or rebate that works out as a better deal for the customer. Guess what happens: We usually have that customer for life and referals to all his friends and family.

I purchased a car in which the rebate was increased the next day. I just happend to hear it on the radio. I refused to go through with the contract unless I got the increase. Guess what? I got the increase.
Personally, I would fight for the $5 per point.

Just an update for anyone that may be interested. If not, I am sorry to bore you with this.
I just talked with a sales manager for quite some time, and learned that MB for VB was increased on 6/3 (as an earlier post indicated). At NO time was the price $75 pp, and MB $15. The "effective price" with MB was kept at $65.
That being said, I was told that the small number of us who were waiting to close during this period are entitled to BOTH the $75 price PLUS the $15 MB.
I explained over and over that I did not call to whine about the price, and try to get something that I am not entitled to.
Bottom Line (so far):
They are going to re-write my second VB contract (the one that has not yet closed), and on Monday I will speak with the Grand Pubaa of sales to try and get some sort of credit to my account for the contract that did close. There is certainly no guarantee of recieving a credit, but I must give it a shot.
Again...I am not trying to get something for nothing, but they told me I was entitled to this price. If they can re-write the second contract, then they should somehow make good on the first.

It always pays to at least ask. The worst that can happen is they say no. The best --- well, you just got that and maybe they'll even be able to credit the first one, too! Congratulations....you'll have to treat yourself to something special with the "found" money. :)

That's a REALLY great update! Very surprising too!! Hope they can rewrite the first one, but if they can't, at least they were able to rewrite the second!

That's really good news for you! It's a little annoying that one guide (luckytso's) was on the ball for his clients and another was just on cruise control. As least she is going to bat for you now.

whats the name of your dealership- seriously?
I might just schlep 2 hours south to find an honest car dealer. Up here in North NJ we have the lovely kind that shake your hand for a deal and than just before you sign send 'the manager' over to tell you it was a mistake they went to low, they etch the windows for free and tell you how great it is but than demand money when you take possession to register it, or my personal favorite add undercoating and pinstriping to every car in the lot and put on that little dealer is ripping you off for an additional window sticker...
