Souvenir Prices

We're staying at a deluxe resort this summer, and I'm wondering if the prices in the gift shop there would be any higher than if we were to buy the same items elsewhere in the World. I ask because we live between two malls, one being considered 'upscale' and the other just ordinary, and the prices on identical items in national chain stores are higher in the more upscale mall than in the other. Does Disney price items the same throughout the World, or should I be careful?

The prices should be the same anywere throughout WDW for the same item. My DS wanted a toy monorail in November, and it was the same price at the MK, one of the shops at the Contemporary, and DTD. The jacket I bought was the same price at Epcot and MK, but the shop at Epcot didn't have my size.

Prices seem to be standard everywhere on Disney property. One word of advice, if you see a souvie you REALLY want, buy it then. Sometimes you can't find it elsewhere.

I appreciate the responses- it's good to know that the prices are standard throughout WDW. My teens gravitate towards shopping experiences!
