My birthday is on Thursday. I would love to be at WDW. DH doesn't really want to go b/c he doesn't love it as much as I do but my DS9 and DS5 really want to go also. He says we can go but I know he is only doing it for me. I can get a one bedroom at SSR and flights for about $145 roundtrip. We would like to do Discovery Cove while we are there and the next time we are going is in Dec and I don't want to plan water activities for Dec. We usually go 3 times a year and always in May but this year b/c we have alot going on I didn't plan anything. But I am now chomping at the bit b/c it will be 14 months when I get back in Dec. So I came up with this brilliant idea. I am so torn but I need to make a decision as we would leave in 4 days. Help me what would you do?

Side note: My DD17 is getting ready to graduate so we also have a big party coming up at the end of the month. She won't be able to go with us b/c of her senior trip and exams but my mother in law lives with us and she can stay home with her.

Absolutely go. I was having the same dilemma as you a few weeks ago - found decent airfare and was just missing Disney, so DH and I booked a weekend there at the end of this month just to get away.

You won't regret going, only not going!

Maybe i will take you up on that. I keep telling DH that I need a traveling companion. I love to go to WDW and DCL and he does not like to travel. I am glad that my kids like to go as much as I do.

Go for it!!! There is nothing like a trip to the world! And, going there for your birthday gets you the free admission, free fast pass card, or the free gift card so what better way to celebrate!!! You have to go to get your present!!!

Have fun!!

We use Spirit Airlines. I usually only pay less than $100 but since it is so last minute it will be $145 (which seems really high to me). Well I don't think we are going to go. If I knew my husband would be happy about going I would go but I know he really doesn't want to go so I think we are going to skip it. I am still holding out hope that he will feel bad for me and say he really wants to go but we would have to leave on Wed and it is really cutting it close now. Thanks for all your comments. I want to go so bad.

Sorry, no. That was from our dolphin swim at Blue Lagoon in Nassau last summer when we did our DCL. WHAT a blast that was.... The dolphin is just an AMAZING creature! Good luck!

We are not going to go. My daughter just got asked to a friends prom for Fri night and I can't let her go if I am not home. You know, kids come first. The sacrifices we make for being parents I tell ya.:lmao: Oh well, I will wait till Dec.

For what it's worth - it's my birthday too on Thursday. I see from your post above that you won't be making it but its seems that we not only share a birthday but are vacationing at DW at the same time in December. I plan to go next year for my(our) birthday, especially if they are still running this promotion. We will be celebrating my mom's birthday when we go this December. Happy Birthday!:bday:
