Me and the Magic Kingdom 30 Years Ago

Hey guys, I thought since it was a rainy day here in the STL and I have the day off, I would post some pics that I found last night at my Grandpa's house. My Grandparents took my sister and I to the world for our first trip in 1980 and of course I have been hooked ever since. I was 5 at the time and still have many fond memories of my first trip. Anyway here are some of the pics I thought you all might enjoy...

This is us with Pluto. It must have been a hot day in Florida, look at poor Pluto's tongue!

For comparison sake, this is my middle son last year at the exact same age as I was. Thank goodness they moved Pluto into the AC.

Anyone remember Friar Tuck or tube socks? Disney's Robin Hood was one of my favs as a kid so this was a thrill for me (in case you can't tell from the photo):

I remember when Mickey walked out on Main Street, he could have just as easily been Elvis. Kids screaming and running everywhere, but you can spot me in my bright green Mickey Ears. Disney has come a long way with their character meets:
