Over the door shoe holder for a dollar. Now thats a bargin. they only have eight pockets so i bought two.. for a buck we can throw them away after the cruise.:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

other items to watch for at the dollar store:

-sand toys

-inflatable rafts (don't get blue - DCL rents blue ones at Castaway Cay - get a contrasting color and easily spot your kids!)

-lanyards to hang the room card around your neck or on a belt loop

I keep mine in my suitcase when not in use. I use it every vacation. The shoe holder really does come in handy for keeping everythig neat.

How does the dollar tree one hang over the door? The ones I saw there didn't look right. But I'm not exactly sure what I'm looking for :D

And I am such a sucker for their neat bargins! Living near a dollar store we are able to ck for MM things often for the 7 grands for our cruise. We have one lg. suit case full of goodies and 6 mos to go! Found MM undies, M&M key chains, buckets & sand toys, MM sun glasses, Snow White & 7 dwarfs figurines, glow necklaces, inflatable rafts/tubes, MM gummies, bubbles and shoe holders. Also bought each grand an 18" M&M's 50% off at our local Dis store. DPop Pop is wondering... how much more I can fit in before Dec??? ;) :D :cool: :)

What a great deal. I guess it's time to go to my local dollar store to see what goodies I can find! I also bought lots of stuff during disney's sale, because I'm making my dd 3yrs old a basket for our cruise from mickey mouse.

Hi there. the top of it looks like the top of a hanger. it swivles so you can turn it to fit over the door. Not as good as the ones with the two flat hooks that go over the door but hey for a buck I'll make it work, I was also thinking it would fit great over the shower curtian rod. HTH

I bought a $1.00 over the door shoe holder today for our cruise. It has a hanger, so I'm going to bring my over the door hook to put the hanger on. I also bought two pairs of sunglasses for $1.00 each so if I lose them on the cruise it won't be so bad.

I got the 8 pkt ones from the Dollar Tree for DH and myself. I did splurge and get the large 24 pkt one from WalMart for the girls though. I figured two 18 yr olds in a Cat 11 needed ALOT of storage help....:cool:

I just bought my over-the-door shoe holder from the dollar tree. It has 12 pockets!! It is very cheap compared to the one I use for my DD's shoes at home that has 24 pockets and is much better quality - but hey for a dollar I am not complaining!!

Thanks to these boards I have learned so much and this is one tip!!

In the staterooms there is a hook right outside of the shower room (at least there was in our Cat 6). If your holder has a hook like a hanger it might work better there than over the door. We found that having the shoe holder hang outside of the bathroom was much more convenient for everyone.

Just a thought.
