View Full Version : Treadmill Recommendations

Hi WISH Team, I used to post here somewhat frequently, but have been MIA this past year. It has been a good year for us, but a tough one, too, as far as training goes. We started homeschooling this past year, and my girls are not old enough for me to leave them home alone. They also absolutely refuse to learn to ride their bikes, and I have been unable to get out and walk/jog. So.... I have asked my dh for a treadmill for Mother's Day.

So, any recommendations? Not necessarily specific brands/models -- although I'd love to hear those, too, if you'd like to share. I'm looking more for features. I know I need an automatic incline, but what about horsepower? If I'm going to get above a walk, do I need a treadmill w/ more horsepower or is that overkill? I have heard some treadmills have more sort of cushioning on them. Do they all? Are all the cushioning systems created equal? Do you like the pre-set workouts, fans, and all those bells and whistles?

This will be the main way I get my miles in, so I need a good machine that will hold up well.

TIA

Thanks Duane. You know I promised I scanned the threads looking for one on treadmills. Don't know how I missed it. Thanks for linking it. Maybe I'll be checking out local eye doctors next. LOL!!!

Not to worry. The only reason I knew it was there was because I posted on it :)

Good luck on your choice!
