HI, I am trying to scan a photo that I have and store it on my computer. I figured since all of u r so talented on the computer maybe u could help..... I have a dell all in one printer. I put my photo at the top right hand corner of the scanner and pushed scan. It scanned the picture but when I go to view the photo it is small at the the top right hand corner (I hope u guys know what I mean). If i was to scan an 8x10 photo the pic looks great and takes up the whole page size but when I go to scan a 4x6 photo I can still see the photo but I can also see a white background (which I am assuming is the scanner screen). Can anyone tell me how to scan the photo so it takes up the whole page? I do not want to enlarge the photo or anything, I just dont want to see the scanner screen behind it. Sorry if I'm confusing. Thanks

There should be some software associated with your printer/scanner on your computer. Locate that and use it to initiate the scan changing the settings to 4 X 6. It sounds like it's scanning the entire scanner bed and not detecting the size of the original so you are going to have to tell it.

Hi
Before you scan the pic have it do a preview and then you can move the dotted lines that are around the entire space to just around the pic. Then when you hit scan it only scans the pic and not the white space around it too. This should enlarge the picture so its the correct size.
I hope this makes sense I have to do this every time too!
Good luck!
I will check back and see how it goes!
