Having been woken up by DD this morning, bounding with excitement over having got Jonas Brothers tickets, it took me back to the first concert I went to as a teenager - AC/DC.

So, what was the first concert you went to?

I was deperate to go to an Osmonds concert in my younger teens but was not allowed. Saw Three Degrees at a nightclub in my late teens - does that count? God, showing my age here!

Kylie! I was 9 years old and it was her first ever tour in the uk, me and my friend had matching t-shirts made and had the open top straw hats like on her album cover with ra-ra skirts like in her locomotion video, we thought we were so cool:rotfl:My grandad and her dad took us and I think they enjoyed the eye candy as much as we enjoyed bopping around:cool1:

Now I am jealous:rotfl: One of the few bands a wished I had seen live, saw them a few years ago with Paul Rodgers but must have been amazing with Freddie.

Mine was Meatloaf, just to see Bat out of Hell live is worth the 50 it costs to see him.
Latest was in Feb, Kaiser Cheifs who are superb live.

Wayne, Queen were the first band I ever saw and, despite having seen literally hundreds of bands since, still the best. We went on to see them a further 10 times over the years including their last ever gig at Knebworth.
Freddie had something that you can't define, he only had to walk on stage for the crowd to go mad.

Saw the Paul Rodgers thing a few years ago as well. I actually thought he did a great job and it's fun to sing along to all those famous Queen hits again.

Now I am jealous. I was really into them when I was younger, and Prince Charming was the first album I ever bought (with my birthday money as I remember)
First concert for me was much later when I went to see Bon Jovi in Germany in about 1992. Me and DW got sat on some sort of scaffold structure along with 6 other people, about 10 metres from the stage. We were up higher than everyone else so had a fantastic, sat down view of the whole show. (DW still swears to this day the Jon looked her straight in the eyes :lovestruc)

Mine was The Alarm at The Ritzy in Cardiff, we probably saw them at least 25 times afterwards. I have good and bad memories, the good a bouncer grabbing holding of my feet because he thought I was going to fall off the balcony at St Davids Hall, the bad I can't hear very well, my doctor blames it on my having stood next to the amps and speakers too many times at their concerts, so on meets of I am constantly saying pardon or excuse me you know why, I constantly accuse Ian of muttering!!
