BCV/the Boardwalk Question

Hi!

I'm staying that the BCV thru RCI in June.

Can you rent bikes at BCV to ride on the Boardwalk?

Or can you bring your own bikes from home to ride on the Boardwalk?

BCV and BWV are two different resorts. I would assume you would have to go to the Boardwalk to rent bikes.

Neither has regular bikes. Boardwalk has "Surrey Bikes," basically box shaped four-wheelers that can seat four adults, that you can rent at the center of the boardwalk regardless of where you are staying. You can take them all around the walkway that encircles the lake including from BWV to BC/YC and to S/D. They do not allow any other bikes or any skates on the boardwalk or around that whole walkway encircling the lake.

I believe the Bayside Marina (located at the Yacht Club next door to BCV) has a few "normal" bikes to rent.

I am not aware of any rule that prevents you from riding your own bike around the boardwalk.

They do not rent bikes at the Yacht Marina. The bikes sometimes seen there are used by the recreation cast members to get from point A to point B. Many of the CM's between the BoardWalk, Yacht and Beach Club resorts rotate during the day because the recreation responsibilities are share among those on duty at the time.

Regular bikes from home are not allowed on the Boardway or anywhere around the lake. The only bikes allowed are the surrey bikes you can rent at the BW.
