Thanks Rex. This rumor has existed for the last 3+ years. Many have posted that Star Tours 2 is coming, but it just hasn't. For me, this rumor has fallen into the "Seeing is Believing" category. So, basically, until Disney and Lucas make an official announcement I pretty much won't believe it.

I can't wait for Star Tours 2.0. I don't really expect them to change the mechanical elements of the ride but a change in projection technology would be nice. I'm sure the cost of switching to DLP or LCD projectors will pay off in no time just in the energy cost saved compared getting rid of what I'm sure are CRT guns.

slashfilm is pretty accurate, if they say they are filming... then they are filming. But that doesn't mean it will really get built, or that it is even for WDW. they could be working on a ride for something else.
