I'm sure you have seen the commercial with the mom and little child on an elevator talking about their Disney cruise trip. The little child tells everyone that his baby brother's name is jack But "mom calls him our little souvineer". That is hysterical!. I then wondered how many of you concieved while at Disney World? We did....Wilderness lodge....9 months later...TWINS!
I jokes with my OB that it was the sun, sand and Mickey Mouse put me in the mood. So..any other souvineers out there?

Both sons conceived at Disney. First one at an offsite hotel, (can't remember the name of it) in 1994. After trying unsuccessfully forover a year with no luck for our second, we went to WDW with my parents in 1998 and BINGO! the second son was a CBR baby! I did the crib set in "Disney Babies" pattern as an inside joke, and now the comforter to that set is my younger DS's "blankie". Some day when they're older, we'll tell them that they really love WDW so much because of their "Souvineer" status!
Can't wait for the family trip of 11 this Thanksgiving at PO-R. And no, we don't expect to be "expecting" after this trip.

Bwhaaaaaa! We have two sons, 6 and 8. In Feb. 1993, we visited in laws then drove to Disney -- about 3 hour drive. Had to stop for the bathroom 3 times. Couldn't understand it?! Got home the next week, yup, was pregnant and didn't know it.
When our son was 18 months old, we stayed at CBR. Some of the in laws were staying at FW. Son came down with some sort of stomach bug. I was really worried and in laws couldn't understand why I cried over it. Yup, got back home, was pregnant and didn't know it.
I think I better do a pregnancy test BEFORE we leave this time.

My now 18 YO DD is a Poly Souvineer. It is also her favorite place to stay. I have a picture of her in various stages of developement under the Palm Tree where they marry people at the Poly now. I think it has a name. Probably a day or two after conception, when I was 6 months pregnant and then thru the years when we would vacation there I would always make her get her picture under those trees. We finally told her when she was 16. She thinks we are nutty for doing that all these years.
Sssshe graduates on Friday and she wants to go to the Poly for her graduation present. I don't know if we can swing it this year between the tuition and my DS fencing and then of course everyones jobs but I am hoping to get one more shot of her this summer.

My 8yr old son is a Disneyland Souvineer. We spent our Honeymoon there in Dec 1992. My wife still gets tickeled remembering our trip. The Christmas decorations were everywhere. Little did we know that our little bundle of joy had been wrapped by the magic as well.

What a great thread! My husband and I haven't had kids yet, but we always say we'll take a vacation to WDW when we're ready to try for our first. By the way, connor69, I live near Peoria & work at CAT...it's a small world!

wow... so many couples bring home a piece of Disney with them.
Fiance and I will be honeymooning at WDW in October, but I am not looking for a "souvineer" yet. Better watch carefully for that.
Nevertheless, I defintely want to have a little Disney souvineer in the near future when the time is right.
thank you for sharing the sweet stories with us.

Count me in. After trying for two years we went to WL for a week. And we did all the tests before we went (ewwww). Well after being so relaxed I conceived two weeks after our trip. DS will be six in August. It's a Magic Kingdom after all!!

DW and I are hoping for the same magic. We have been trying over a year for our second and we will be at CBR in July. I hope there is still some MAGIC there.:D

I have been to WDW for 9 consecutive years and have never conceived, but that might be because I am male.

I have a Old Key West Resort Souviner. He is 11 months old now. Because we had a Disney Cruise before the Old Key West trip, everyone thought he was from there. But nothing happened on the cruise, LOL. I guess too much information sorry;)

Ratpack,
You are too funny! Good luck at CBR. I wish I could remember the room #. I think it was in Barbados 14.

DS, almost 8 was concieved on the Big Red Boat after our 4-day stay at the Grand Floridian. He isn't techinically a "Disney Baby", but it happened on a Disney trip!

Our miracle baby was conceived while staying at the Disney Institute. It had been five years of heartache and disappointment, but while we were there in February of 2001 we must have seen the fireworks at MK three or four times and everytime we wished upon the star at the end for a little brother or sister for our six year old son. On the last day we watched the fireworks from the California Grill and I sensed that maybe our dream was about to come true. The next morning before we checked out I bought a 2001 bib that said "It's the start of something big". Little did I know how big a thing it was the start of. Our daughter will be 8 months old in a few weeks and not a day goes by that I don't realize how lucky we were to have a little pixie dust thrown our way.
Everyone thinks I'm nuts when I say it's a magical place, but for us it will always be the most magical of places.

We doubled our Disney Magic. We tried to sell our house for over a year, no luck, so decided to stay put and try for baby #2. After a year, no luck there either. Finally decided to foget it all and go to Disney. While on Pirates of Carribean, got a call from real estate agent, house was sold. Got home (stayed at WL) and found out I was pregnant.
What a great thread!

Not MY souvenir--but when DH and I went in April 2000 to celebrate our wedding anniversary--DS (then 18) stayed home alone.
In January 2001 we had our first grandchild.

Well I didn?t conceive my miracle baby boy at DW but it ends up that I was 4 days post conception when we visited in 1997. And I tell people that Disney World is the most magical place on earth because it made that tiny baby a keeper :) (We had lost 5 babies before that from 6 weeks gestation to 25 weeks gestation). It was the 25th anniversary celebration so I remember telling my husband if I am pregnant and if we go to term this time we will send that little one and a friend/wife or husband to DW for the 50th anniversary celebration. And I plan to keep my word :)

What a great story, StrwLady! I know I'll be thinking of it when they announce the 50th Anniversary celebration. My boys will be 27 and 22 by then; maybe a big family trip will be in order. Hard to think of them as adults when I'm trying to get one out of diapers still! LOL

My DW and I will be going to WDW this Sept. It will be my first and her second time. We are celebrating our 9th anniversary. We have tried for 9 years but have had no sucess. We will have to wait and see if the Magic strikes again.
