Reservation vs. Vacation points?

On the member site, I just noticed that for a future split-stay vacation, the AKV part is listed as using "Vacation Points", but the following week's BWV reservation is listed as using "Reservation Points". I never noticed that before (it may have always been that way :confused3), but does anyone know what each means?:confused:

Don't know because it does not comport with the definitions in the official documents. Vacation Points are your points when used for a DVC reservation so that part is fine for the AKV reservation. Reservation Points are what your points become when you trade for a resort outside the DVC system and if you cancel that trip those "Reservation Points" can only be used for places outside of the DVC resorts, so the second part you mention does not comport with the definition in the official documents.

Should say vacation points, not reservation points.

When AKV was first put into the system, the system said that we were using reservation points when we were using vacation points.

I think it's weird that your BWV vacation is showing that reservation points are being used. A call to MS is in order, I think.

Well I will add to the confusion - I just check my point history on DVC site. My June OKW trip is vacation points, and my Oct. BWV is reservation points too.

Member Services cleared up the mystery.......................guess what??? It was either a "computer error" or it was entered incorrectly....:rotfl:
