I love the series though some things in the books are inconstant with the other books.

Did you read When the Wind Blows and The Lake House? The Maximum Ride series is sort of a spin-off from those. It follows the flock of bird-kids. http://www.jamespatterson.com/books_max.html

I enjoyed When the Wind Blows quite a bit, Lake House not as much and while I have the maximum ride novels I havent been able to get into them.
