Kim told me to post this here too:

I am such a klutz . . .
Saturday was the day to pull weeds and plant flowers - I ended up with more dirt on me than in the flower pots.

Sunday started painting the new conrete block wall at the back on my yard - ended up wearing more paint than that was on the wall.

This morning started the painting of the wall again - soon was wearing more paint again.

Kara was digging out the rest of the roots from the dead bushes - she ran into one she couldn't get out - so I put my back into the shovel under the root - next thing I knew I was rather flying through the air landing on the pile of dead bushes with the handle snapped with the shovel part still stuck in the ground under the roots.

Fortunately, the wall is finally painted - most of the dead bushes dug up - now tomorrow's plan is to dig 2 new holes and paint my new lilac bushes

Any one got a shovel I can borrow?

and a small update - I was up early and borrowed not one but two shovels from parents this morning and got the lilacs planted - think I will rest a few days before tackling any more gardening projects - at least until all of the aches and pains go away :p

Whew - Sounds like you got a lot done! You are not a klutz - just extra generous with dirt and paint! :)

Sounds like me tho - I usually have to hose my legs down after playing in the dirt all day, or else I am not allowed in the house!

Enjoy your lilacs!

Lots of good garden fairy ~ ~ ~ ~ pixie dust ~ ~ ~ ~ for your new lilacs Marla, and how about some A535 for the aching muscles....;) :D

Thank you! :D

You're not a klutz... you just "get into" your work! LOL! (I do the same thing!)

lol! Marla I know this move well.

Wish I could count the number of shovels I've broken.

My children have 2 words for me: "MUD DUCK". The name sure fit.

I believe you are rather "hands on" when you get gardening, Marla.

I can certainly relate....;)
