Hi there,

My family is planning our first stay off-site trip to Disney. As our family has grown (5 of us now), a regular room on Disney property just won't cut it and anything larger is beyond our budget...so...

We are between the HIFS and the Caribe Royale....very similar rates for a Kids Suite at the HIFS or a 1bdr suite at the Caribe Royale.

Can anyone out there offer us some guidance as to which might be the better property?

I appreciate any and all feedback.

Brian:)

Hi,
Stayed at both hotels over the past year, and am retuning to Caribe this Aug. HIFS was very nice, but did not appeal to my kids (ages 12 & 14) as much as the Caribe. HIFS is wonderful, clean, great location, however IMHO is geared toward families with younger children. The pool with water toys, zero entry, playground, etc. was excellent. My kids would have lived here if they were younger. Caribe Royale was their pick, with great pool area with water slide, better game room, bigger suite, and a more "elegant feel" over HIFS. Shuttle service is comparable. Both offer free bkfst. (standard buffet fare but how can you complain when its for free - saves lots of money). Either choice is great it just depends on the ages of your kids. Also, I think there are better rates at the Caribe - check Hotelkingdom.com. We are only paying $105 per night in Aug.
Hope this helps!

mousesavers.com has a great $99 rate for Caribe royal. Check and see if it matches your dates!
