Griffith's Observatory directions?

Does anyone have the directions to the Observatory from DL? Also if we have time on the day we visit Rodeo Dr. and the Chinese Theatre, how to we get to the Observatory from there also??? Thank you all so much for all the information on this thread. The information is great and very much appriectiated:banana:

One of the easiest ways to get to the Observatory is to take the 101 freeway and get off on Vermont. Go towards the hills and Vermont will take you straight to the Observatory, passing the Greek Theater along the way.

From Disneyland - take the 5 freeway north to the 101 north, and get off on Vermont.

From Rodeo Drive, Mann's Chinese Theater, La Brea Tarpits, go north to the 101 freeway (take Hollywood Blvd east to Highland north (turn left)) and go south on the 101, getting off on Vermont & turning left towards the Hollywood Hills.

Myself I'd stay on the I-5 as long as possible and get off at Los Feliz. Here's a Mapquest map (http://www.mapquest.com/mq/8-nd3Vzsvv0yzJ*rsG) showing that route.
