Curious what you all think. The ONLY one I couldn't get was, Rose & Crown after dinner...wanted to sit on the deck to have some drinks and watch Illuminations! I would LOVE some great suggestions for best SEATS in the house for Illuminations. I don't want to stand..but would rather sit and DRINK!!
Here they are:
Mon- Crystal Palace- 12:24 lunch
Cinderellas' Castle- 7:15 dinner
Tue- Jiko- 5:35 dinner
Wed- Le Cellier 7:40 dinner
Thur- Hollywood Derby 4:15 Fantasmic!
Fri- Ragland Road 5:00 dinner
Sat- 1900 Park Fare 9:05 Character Breakfast
I'm really thrilled I got them ALL!! Got on the phones at 7:45 and got the castle!! Did the rest on my break at work, just a few minutes ago!!
I'm SOOOO excited I'm bouncing!! My last trip there, it was with the ex and 3 children. We did mostly counter service, nothing fancy. THIS trip however, is my 1st adult trip and Christy's 1st trip ever!! .... I want everything to be EXTRA special!!
Have a great day fellow Diser's, I know I will!! :wizard:

I usually watch Illuminations between Mexico and Norway. Not sure if there are any benches in that area, but it does tend to be a little less crowded than other areas, and you can throw a rock and hit the Margarita stand! :thumbsup2

Good to know!! I won't be throwing rocks, but good to know! ;)

Looks great! We used to sit upstairs at Japan - I think they closed that bar though.

The just remodled it, I'm pretty sure it's still open, but not sure if they pipe the music in.

It's no longer a bar. It's now part of the sit-down restaurant

What about the little place outside in Mexico, only limited seating...some cantina? Can you make ressies there, or 1st come 1st served?

No punn intended, but we LOVE sushi!! ;) We always try sushi places when we travel. To date, the best, was in The Bellagio in Vegas!!

We'll keep an eye out for you on Thursday! :)
I am glad you were able to get the restaurants you wanted! :cool1:
We usually watch IllumiNations from that bridge thing near Italy, or in the area just past that towards Mexico. DH likes to strap his camera to the railing so it won't wobble.
Yesterday was our 90 day mark, but we only needed 2 ADRs for that front villa ressie. IPO is making the rest of our ADRs on Thursday, so hopefully that will go well.

Very bad taco bell imitation! No ressies, first come first served. People usually start sitting there around 7:00 for the Fireworks. IMO it's not worth wasting two hours just to have a table side seat for Illuminations. Honestly, that I why I usually stand for the show, I just refuse to give up that much time sitting there waiting.

Cantina San Angel? Is that the name of it? I am pretty sure that's counter service, so no ressies.

Wolfgang Puck's has good sushi, and so does Cali Grill. We tried one kind at Kona, and that was good, but we haven't been to their sushi bar.

Oh, our other IllumiNations viewing tip is to pay attention to the wind and don't sit where you will get a face full of smoke. :)

Good to know. This is MY first Illuminations. My ex wouldn't go, as he thought it was "Too new age". There is a reason he's an ex! :lmao:

I apologize if I am hijacking the thread, but was the restaurant Yellowtail? We ate there when it first opened, and while the food was outstanding, we had service issues. We skipped it on that last two trips, but were hoping they had ironed everything out and plan to try again next month.

Please don't kill me, I would have to go home and look thru my stuff. I know it was right by the gondolla rides, because we ate first, got some chocolate and rode the gondolla. It was THE best we've ever had. My sister was w/ me and her hubby is Japanese and SHE said it was the best!! :woohoo:

Now THAT is how to do Vegas in style...we however, were at the New York New York. We had a blast there, can't complain...but after going to the Bellagio, just walking around, every place after that pales in comparison!

I promise not to kill you if you return the favor. I think you may have mixed up the hotels, which is quite easy to do when hopping around Vegas. The gondola ride is in the Venetian.

Wally is not from the Lake's Region:snooty:as a Bostnian he would qualify as one of those darn Massers who clog up I-93 and the lakes every nice weekend;) (you would have been one of those too!). :lmao:We used to live about 30 minutes from Winnipesaukee. I know--I was one of the New Hampshire hicks who came down and infested the city--besides we had lots of nice places in the Lakes Region thanks to all the tourist dollars.
Anyway--back on track. Your ressies look great:thumbsup2
We usually do watch Illuminations from the Cantina in Mexico:rolleyes1 We tend to go off season and can usaully snag a table along the fence (anything not touching the fence will have people standing between you and the water come show time) with only about an hour to go before the show. By then we are pretty tired (having been going strong since rope drop) so we are good with sitting for an hour to chat over margaritas (pretty much lime icees with a dash of alcohol there:rotfl:) and churros. I absolutely adore Illuminations so it is the one thing I will wait for (others wait for parades or Splash Mountain. The ONLY thing I care enough for to wait more than about 20 minutes is Illuminations--I will do it for Fantasmic too because Dave feels the same way about Fantasmic that I do about Illuminations). That said--standing along a wall you can lean against (and set a drink on) is good too.

From your description, that was probably Tao and they do have great sushi. My favorite so fare is Sushi Roku in the Caesar’s Forum shops. There are just so many places to eat in Vegas.
There are so many great hotels on the strip. The Bellagio is my favorite, but have you seen the new Palazzo? It is amazing. Did you like New York, New York? We haven't stayed there yet, but did stop by Gallagher's. It seemed fun.
