I have been working on the shade garden lately and have added some new plants. One I'm very excited about it's called a Toad Lily.

The one I planted is a Hirta but it has pink flowers with dark spots.

What a neat looking plant. I wonder if they would grow around here.

Yes Amid I've found a new nursery. It's in Wrentham, MA. called Northland Farm & Garden Center. It's heaven and it's been in the neighboring town and I never knew. They grow their own perennials, some I've never been able to purchase at a garden center. They are quite reasonable, their perennials start at $6.00 for quart size's. they also sell some things in pint and gallon sizes, never purchased these sizes so I have no idea of the cost. I find the pint to be a little too small, and the gallons to be a little too expensive. The quarts are more in my price range and you get a good size plant. Most of the plants I've purchased range in price's of $6.00 to $9.00.

A weekly visit usually brings something unusual home with me.

P.S. They have quite a grass selection. Most you probably already have.

Found this nursery that has a huge list of Toad Lilies and their prices.

After looking over the list and pictures I realized this could become a sickness collecting toad lilies.

I quite agree, Mamu. After looking at that site, I started to get quite excited.

Thank goodness they're out of the UK or I'd be in real trouble.
