New Hot Air Balloon Attraction in Downtown Disney

Has anyone experienced this new attraction yet? It sounds like a lot of fun, and I'm interested in doing it on our upcoming trip in 3 weeks. I would love any feedback from those who've done it already...how was it, what did you see from the view, how long is the ride, etc. Thanks!

I haven't done it myself, but I spoke to someone who did and a manager. On a clear day, you can see a long way. One of the managers said it is possible to see the ocean. That sounds strange to me, but I guess it is possible.

It ascends and descends very slowly. Once it is at its maximum height, it stays there for six minutes. You can not run around in the basket. They place you in certain spots and you are supposed to stay in those spots.

I watched it go up and down a couple of nights ago. The only problem I see with the thing is that it cannot go up if the wind is over 15 mph. The manager I spoke to said it would probably only be able to fly about 50 percent of the time due to the wind. It is windy many days here.

The article on allears.net said that once you were up they had you circle around the basket so every one could see.

I found some videos on youtube that were pretty good. You don't have to make ressies...just walk on.
