I was just wondering how late our night were going to be? I may need to put some practice in, just so that I can keep up with you all you must understand :D
What was last year like?
Thanks
Emma

The best answer to that is as early as you like or as late as you can stay up.
Some of us turned in early evening and others went to bed early the next morning.
The big catch last year was that we had early starts every morning. Breakfast at 7 meet at park at 9.
We begged for no more early breakfasts this year so we will see what happens. But it seems like a lot of fun was had at the "bars" and "clubs" afterwards which means late nights.

LATE! :D And yes, you better start practicing now! ;) You and Dayna can start a little 'support group' for such exercises! Poor Dayna turned in early almost every night last year. :(
Seriously though, I got to bed at 1:00 and 2:00am almost every night, and because of the 7:00am breakfasts I was up at 5:30/6:00am. Ugh! It hurt. Being around everyone made you forget the pain, but once I got home I slept for a week straight! :earseek: In Dayna's words; I was broken. :( This year I'm going to be a lot nicer to myself. :) :) :)
I don't drink (well I had half of a margarita during DATW  ) (F. and S. Shhhhh! ;) ) so I didn't have the 'hangover' thingy also, but I swear I felt just as bad. :o Late nights and early mornings each and every day was a KILLER!
I think my strategy this year is going to be: Talk Less, Laugh Less, Drink More Water, and Not Attend Any Sort Of Breakfast Meets. ;) :) :D :p

We already know that Tia's strategy will fail.
Can you imagine her if she talks less or laughs less. NOT! ;)
The hijacking has begun. :D

Actually, I begged for a 5:30 am breakfast, hosted by the drinkers and late night party-goers of DIS Con 2. We will see if it gets approved! :)
Yes, Barry, and I begged for a SCAVENGER HUNT!!!!! WOOHOO!! YIPPEE!! :bounce: :bounce:
LOL Tia, you'll never do it. Once we get rolling, you'll be just like last year. You can't help it. You're too bubbly and bouncey not to! ;) That's why we all love you! :D Your laughing makes us laugh!:D :p :p :p
As for the late nights, what Tammy said is true. It's as early or as late as you want it to be. ME, personally-I had a hard time leaving everyone, so I stayed out late quite a few nights. I figured you only go around once, and that when I got home I could recover. :) There were so many fun things to do at night, I didn't want to miss any of it! And, I know Linda said the breakfasts wouldn't be as early this year, so that part is covered. ;) :D
**maybe some people should eat something before they try DATW** ;) ;) {{hugs}}

**Barb, are you suggesting that those 2 bites of pretzel we each had was not enough? ;) ** I am DEFINITELY eating something BEFORE I attempt another one of those margaritas! :o ;)
LOL TIa. :D Somehow two bites of pretzel just doesn't "do it". :p ;)

I agree...you should eat something nutritious before Drinking Around the World. Like a hot dog or something. ;) :p

...or a BIG steak at Le Cellier. That ought to go really well with marnigritas.

Tia,
I believe Beaver Tails are the best before partaking of Margaritas. As I don't drink either  I am just passing on what Dayna told me. :D

Hmmm, let's see...A Steak--or--A hotdog, Porkbrains in milk gravy (whatever the heck that is! ), or a beaver tail. I gotta tell you guys, I think the steak from Le Cellier is winning out! :D ::making a PS for Le Cellier on the DATW night:: Oh, wait a minute. We don't have a DATW date yet! ;)

Well....hello everyone!
It's so good to see y'all posting again.
Isn't it great that Patinmn posted the Hoop-Dee-Doo event!
I don't know how late that I can stay up either. Not because I'm sleepy, but because my right leg gets so tired.
But I'll try. I hated missing Jelly Rolls last year.

Barb,
Are you sure that there are real pork brains in that can - maybe it's just a 'nickname' for something else??
Do you really think there are people who eat that stuff???   (maybe it's cat or dog food).
This is definitely not something to think about when you're having breakfast (like I am right now......) Eeeeewwwww

I remember when my grandmother used to cook scrambled eggs with crumbled up brains. I hated them. I thought that it was going to be ground sausage and scrambled eggs mixed together. It might be an old southern thing...lol.

SOMEONE keeps sending me these unusual cans of meat (?) products.
I have a can of pork brains in milk gravy (Armour brand). Ray the picture on the can does show them (?) mixed with eggs. At least that's what it looks like! Then I have a yummy can of "potted meat food product" (LIbby brand). Here's the ingredients: mechanically separated chicken, partially defatted cooked pork fatty tissue, beef tripe, partially defatted cooked beef fatty tissue! Who would eat that!?!?!?! I wouldn't feed that to a rat, let alone a person!
Sorry, Sandra :D

Ray, definitely come to Jellyrolls.....all you have to do is plant yourself in a chair and watch the 'entertainment' (meaning, have your chair facing the audience and not the stage! ;) :p ;)

OOOOOOOOOhhhhhhhhhhhh....I think that I'm going to be sick...lol.
As a child, we always used to have potted meat sandwiches for lunch...lol.
Thank you, Tia. It's getting from one place to the next without worrying whether on not that I can make it the long distances. But I am determined to make everthing this year...lol.
