Corona Del Mar

We are thinking of having our beach day here instead of Newport Beach. Is this a good idea?

It is a great beach especially for children, it has pretty calm waves. I was there last month and the parking is $8 and they say no re-entry, but they let me do it 2x.
My favorite beach is Aliso Beach between Dana and Laguna, it is one of the prettiest in Southern CA if you can pull up this link you can see it.

We were at Coronado Beach on April 12th and we loved it!

That is Coronado in San Diego not Corona Del Mar in Orange County but I do love it there by the Hotel Del Coronado. We vacationed there last year and loved it.
