How big are the charms?
They are about 3/4 x 3/8
Arizona Rita
05-01-2009, 06:55 PM
Are they the enamle ones we get from OTC? If they are, like mine, should one set design, usually about 6, be one set?
AlexWyattMommy

Mine only have four different ones.

AWM, do you have enough to send 6? Or do you think we should do more than 6? In your case it could be a set of 4 plus 2.
Tyniknate (sp) go to OTC and look up "Enamle Charms" that will give you a good example.

Can I have a spot in the shaped brads please - I found some cute teacup brads with free P&P :goodvibes
BUT
I have a problem with my eyelets:headache: They are not just small, they are teeny (1/16" you know how it is when you want to get your online order done before DH gets home and you're not chekcing sizes properly :rolleyes1 ) Can anyone use them? They're so tiny I can't use them in a cropadile  so I'll be using my stash instead for this - probably large metallic.
My ribbon for printed is cowboy, regular brads are pastel, plain ribbon is blue, anything goes is "lucky dip" ;)

I'd prefer large as I like to thread through them but anything is fine. My printed ribbon came - I think you're going to like it!:goodvibes

just a couple questions :)
how many or what kind of *blingy* things?
can the metal stuff be a mix of items instead of each bag being the same?
and can all the bags be different, or do we have to send everyone the same thing for the group theme?

First of all- you can not mess up!
These are items I can come up with myself, but really I would think everyone was thinking sparkly.
Some examples might be: Gems, Skittles, glitter items, shiney items, decorative brads/ eyelets
Really anything that put some thought into will be great- don't worry about messing up- we only beat you with a wet noodle the first time! :rotfl:

For the flower group, are we still splitting a whole bottle since there's only a couple of us? The bottle I have has 175 flowers in it. How many do I send, what's in the guide or the whole bottle split between us?
MissDisney04
05-11-2009, 04:21 PM
my vote is to break it into fourths, *** that way we all get a variety
but i am really good no matter how it is done....
tyniknate
05-12-2009, 08:29 PM
Works for me. I just didn't want to send the 20 small flowers or 10 medium flowers only like in the instructions if everyone was splitting a whole bottle. I guess a whole bottle it is then.

MissDisney04
05-13-2009, 03:24 AM
i just want to make sure its ok that i am doing this:
since i am in every group, i am precombining and overlapping groups into one bag
example:
catinthehat35 is in 3 groups with me:
Group A (ribbon)
Group D2 (Brads- Round)
Group L2 (Anything Goes)
so instead of 3 separate bags (meaning more plastic and bulk) i added all 3 to one group with a label attached that says: To: Catinthehat35 From MissDisney
is that ok, or do i need to have bags for each item, then bag the group together, just to have Mickey Teacher seperate and re-distribite the bags?
either way i am fine, but i would prefer to save the plastic if possible
ETA:
within the bag, the metal, paper or fiber things are seperated by bags, but not broken down, if that makes sense
AlexWyattMommy
05-13-2009, 07:07 PM
Each hostess is different, but in my swaps I prefer you to NOT combine them.
I sort each group and use a packing list to pull from the groups to put in the boxes/envelopes for each swapper. If you presort by swapper it makes it harder for me to be sure that each group had the right number of baggies. MickeyTeacher will tell you what she prefers. It may be different for each swap she hostess, so you should always ask. :flower3:
I am bagged/labeled and ready to mail. I'll post here again when they are in the system.

I have updated the first post with all the received packages.
I'm hoping that all the packages will be here by mid-week, so that I can swap them out.

It is not a problem for me- I'm just a little worried. When did you mail it?
I have everything done and finished- I will try to mail all the packages tomorrow for everyone except the people in Mickster's groups (I think that is 5 people).

So...did it arrive??
Not yesterday.
I have a friend who lives in upstate PA- sometime it can take 10 days for something to arrive from there and other times it takes 2 days.
I will let you know after todays mail runs.

Me Three...
Serously, I have called the postmaster at my postoffice. He is going to try and trace it and see what information he can find out.

OK, here is where we stand- the post office has the package some place between here and NJ. Serously, it was mailed from PA, sent to a distribution center in NJ, scanned in there and then has vanished. He said that it might show up soon, but it has never made it to the GA post office.
So, here is what I'm thinking of doing. I will go this evening and get items to cover Mickster's spots. I want everyone to get a complete swap back, so I do not mind. Then I will sort them when I arrive home on Sunday and mail everything on Monday.
How does that sound?
I hate that the post office has messed this up for us.

I honestly don't mind not getting a full set, I'd hate for you to have trouble.spending over this. You can save my set for Mickster for when it comes :thumbsup2

I don't mind not getting a full set either. There is no need to do extra work. I am fine either waiting for her stuff to arrive or just sending out what you have. Whatever is eisest for you. Thanks for the update.

This is exactly what my postmaster has also said. I hate for you to get more stuff, though...I can resend...or send to everyone individually...I'm so sorry, guys! This has never happened before... :confused3

i certainly dont mind waiting until the package arrives
its weird how things get mailed through...i once sent a package to NY and it went to CA first (i am in NV, so thats going farther away lol) even weirder is the fact that we have a distribution center here (i believe from what i have been told)
sorry i was absent, life took control

The last few packages will go out tomorrow. I was waiting until the last possible day. We are leaving for a trip on Friday and I want to mail everything before we leave. Mickster's package has not shown up- I think the post office people must be enjoying all our goodies. :scared:I will post tomorrow once they are all postal.
Sorry for the confusion,

That's fine. Thanks for clearing that up for me. I was just affraid that something had happened to my package while I was on vacation. I had put a hold on my mail, so I thought maybe it didn't get put with my mail. I am looking forward to seeing all of the cool things!

Ladies...if I wasn't so tired from camp, I'd be laughing...but
I got a USPS letter from Atlanta today saying they found an empty wrapper with my address in the mail and it is believed to have been separated from my parcel during handling. (the label looks like it was in a war...) So I can have them search for the parcel and then get the money back or I can suck it up and not get the money back. I guess I need to tell them it was 2 gallon sized bags with 5 or 6 smaller baggies inside with various brads in different colors and/or any type of metal thing I wanted :rotfl2:.
I might be able to get my shipping back. :confused3
Then they very nicely tell me that proper packaging and including my name and address inside would avoid this inconvenience. That's right...I've never mailed anything before. sigh...:headache:
Well, at least that sort of explains why it never got there...:lmao:

Mickster,
Let me at them... it's rained all day on my birthday and I would like to tell them what I think about the "proper packaging and inserting your info inside the package"... last time I checked in all of this the damn bag is still missing right? They just found your packaging label...
I'd go after them for some of the $$.... but really I'd like to tell them a few other things too!!!
I guess whenever we mail our bills we better include our shipping info there too..because we never know when we will need to have them sent back to us.... ergh!

separated from my parcel during handling
which definition from Mazda's dictionary applies here I wonder?:rolleyes1
"Ripped apart by scrapping addicts desperate for stash"
"ripped apart by some toerag who thinks there might be money inside" or
"accidentally completely destroyed when it got in the way during a sorting office water fight";)
