Hiya,

Looking for a bit of advice from the experts.:thumbsup2
We are already going to DLP for the first time on 18th July for a week.
We have also booked October half term for a week, as the apartment was only available for a whole week at that time.
The flights became available today & we can either go Friday to Friday (23rd to 30th) or Monday to Friday (26th to 30th). The price for everthing is the same either way.
Is a whole week too long? We won't have a car for the October trip, so won't be able to drive out anywhere.
Grateful for any opinions.:goodvibes

i go for six nights and im only sorry that because of my flights i only get emh on my seventh day lol. i think its great to have a relaxing trip and not be rushing to fit everything it. as long as i can afford it i will book six nights so i say if you are there then why not. if you have to pay for the tickets though it may be better to get annual passes. it could work out cheaper and you would then get discounts.

Hi :) I would be more than happy to go for a week or longer! We have been for 4 nights and 5 days the past three visits and each time we always wish we had booked longer! In my opinion the longer you stay the more relaxed each day is. Even after four visits I feel like I have to do a certain number of rides and shows in a day so to have extra days means you can be more laissez-faire and just let things happen. You can easily get to Paris without a car as well so that's worth a day or two!

Our last trips in the summer have been 10nights and 14 nights respectively.
It was great being able to relax in the parks. Spend time enjoying all the detail.

You will have a great time :goodvibes

We've had two week long breaks over there at different times and, as others have said, it's great to have the time so that you don't have to rush. We've also taken the train into Paris for a day on both occasions, which has been a really good experience.

I've taken short stays of 5 nights and longer ones of 9 nights. I much prefer the longer ones, especially as you can take time to visit Paris and not feel you are missing out on the parks.

Also, if there's too long a queue at an attraction you can give it a miss as you know you'll have plenty of time to do it later. :)

A week is not too long. We went for 8 nights and could have stayed longer :)
We went to Paris one day on the RER and also went to Val d'Europe on the RER too, so it's very easy to get around on the train. Plenty to do there for a week :thumbsup2

When we went for a week we were going to do Paris and Versailles, but actually couldn't drag ourselves away from the parks!
If you don't have a package though, which it sounds as if you don't, it will almost certainly be cheaper to get annual passes though as someone said.

We are having our first 5 dayer next week (after previous 4 day trips), and are so looking forward to not having to run around to try and cram everything in quite so much (We like to have a day in Paris as well). The parks themselves are so interesting and have so much detail, that it is nice to just relax sometimes and take in the atmosphere.

Never. A week would be ideal. We usually do 6 days/5 nights which gives us half a day in the parks on arrival, half a day on departure and maybe a trip to Paris half way through. Take the week!!!!

Up until last year we'd always done 5/6 nights, then we decided to do 9 nights and it was so much better (so much that we are doing it again this July). Like others have said it's so much more relaxing knowing you've got the time to do what you want to do, go swimming in the pools, head into Paris and Val D'Europe without feeling you've missed valuable park time.
Have a fabulous time!

No time is ever long enough for me. I always shed a tear when I have to leave.

Aw, I agree! Although since I live in France, I can go a little often, it is still not close enough to go more than a few times a year. A week is definately not too long! :thumbsup2

I'd hate to think how much we would spend in 7/9 days ?!! yikes!

with AP's then i would spend a week there, well maybe half days sometimes and head into Paris or just chill out on some of them :)

I'm off on Sunday (if DS Chicken Pox clears up) and we are there for 8 nights 9 days :goodvibes

We are planning on a mixture of EMH and afternoon's back at the 'shack' and then late rises and late evening's at the park.

More than likely we will be at the park everyday for 8am and will leave at 6 or 7 :rotfl:

We leave Sunday the 9th May and come back on Monday the 18th May ;)

It's the longest DLRP trip that we have had but we thought that with Macklyn we needed longer as he needs regular feeds, changes etc

We're another lot going for a week too. We're going down south on Friday, across to France on Saturday and are leaving the following Saturday.

We have a 20m old who doesn't like being in his pushchair when he doesn't have to be (and walking anywhere with him takes a loooong time with his little legs LOL) and I'm pregnant again so will probably be after a slower pace. I'm planning on later starts, perhaps some naps, and at least a day in Paris by RER. We have passes for 5 days in the park.

Last time (before children) we went for 4 days I think, and didn't manage to do everything we wanted to, and that was with eating on the hoof, running around, things that probably aren't compatible with a toddler.

Fingers crossed we can make the Euro stretch for a full week though!
