I apologize in advance because I know this type of question has been asked before.
We are staying at OKW in October and I know I've read that some people were disturbed by the noise of the buses. Can anyone tell me which buildings get the most bus or traffic noise? Our children will be 1 and 3 by the time we are there, and we want them to be able to sleep at night.
Thanks!

I've heard people complain about building 39, which is close to Bonnet Creek Parkway.

Thanks for the info, DebbieB. This will be our second trip as DVC members, but our first trip to OKW, which is our home resort. Since we've never been there (or even seen it), I appreicate your input.

the buses turn around in building 20 and 21 (part of) - 41 thru 44 (only the part of that is close to the street), 51 and 52 avoid -
these should be quiet 21 (the other part), 22, 24, 25, 36 & 37, 50, 54 and 55.

Avoid unit 19 the end units that are near Miller's Road bus stop! The squeeling of bus brakes at 6:30 in the morning is a rude awakening!

The only building I ever had that I wasn't thrilled with was bldg 15. It was close to Community Drive. When you were on the deck, the noise was not good. I have never had any noise issues before or since.

The only building I have stayed in that I wasn't all that pleased with was building 50.. This was because the bus turns around in the parking lot there and when you were loading/unloading your car it was something you had to be careful of. It really wasn't that big of an issue and didn't spoil our fun in anyway. I have yet to have a bad view.....

We stayed in building 19 (room 1912) and Loved it close to pool and bus stop.
The buildings close to the Bonnett Creek parkway and the buildings at a deadend circle/ turn street. On the parkway road you will hear a lot of traffic and on the deadend street you will see bus headlights and hear the screeching brakes from the buses. If you do not have a car you might want to also avoid the buildings that are far back in the resort because you will have to take a bus or a hike to get to the HH if you want to go to the store, restaurant, main pool, marina, etc.

We've stayed in building 20 in a second floor two bedroom the last two years and have not found the bus turnaround out front to be an issue for noise. The entrance side of the buildings block the noise pretty well from our experiences to date (six visits).
We've also stayed in 27, 28, 36, and 44 and have found all to be relatively quiet unless you have active people in the unit above.
The biggest noise irritation at OKW is the sound of the charging rhinos above. This can be especially irritating if you like to go to bed early and your upstairs neighbors arrive home late and are actively walking about. Little kids running above sound te ntimes their weight.
If you like to go to the pool a lot or have young kids who like to play in the sand in the small play areas, I'd recommend one of the units near the quiet pools (19/20 or 55/56). If you'd like to relax with a few drinks by a pool, then units 40-46 near Turtle shack are great.
The only other unit issues I've seen is that 64 doesn't seem to have much close by parking.
Hope this helps!!!

We were there in March and stayed in bldg 22, right at the end on the 2nd floor. It was really quiet. The walk to the bus stop and quiet pool wasn't very long. I don't ever remember hearing a bus because they don't come down that far. There is a turn around (because it is the last building) but it is very small (not big enough for a bus). Building 18 is also nice, close to quiet pool and back further from the road, even though it is close to a bus stop.

We've stayed in buildings 62 & 63 many times. The only noise problem was room 6320 (studio - 2nd floor - right hand side facing the building). This is the entrance to the Resort.
