Did anyone else receive a new pin code email from Disney Destinations that offers free dining later in the year and an option to book the quick service plan?

It has Goofy on it. Now I'm trying to figure out if it would be a better deal to do the quick service and go later in the year instead of doing free dining at the end of August :goodvibes

I did not get a free dining pin, but I did get one for ticket upgrade. It offers free hopping and water parks. Oct 2 to Nov 28. I am not using it. I would love to get a free dining pin. Please let us know the details.

I'm not sure we will be able to use it :sad2: We just cancelled a free dining trip for the end of August b/c of schedule changes - I'm wondering if that has anything to do with receiving this one. I doubt they would be that logical though :laughing:

This is the 2nd PIN i have ever received after already booking a vacation, I just don't understand how that works :confused3 Why not send me one for a different time, not a month after I am already going to be there?

Yeah! I got my 1st pin! It's so funny - I read your posting then immediately went to check my email and low and behold I had the offer in my mailbox. I can't believe it. I contemplated going in Aug. with the free dining deal and actually had a ressie on hold for me for Aug. and then later canceled. I was just at Disney for Spring Break in early April and didn't book the bounce back which you are required to do while at Disney. I felt really bad about that when the magic began to fade after coming home. Then today, April 30 it was there - my 1st pin. I could jump for joy! Has anyone else gotten the pin after just returning or after a canceled ressie like me? Just wondering?:yay::yay::yay:

I got a really good deal through expedia, but I would love to have the dining plan, so it may be worth switching to if they make it available. However, I wonder if you can get it for more than 4 nights? We are staying for 7.

I haven't received the email. I too just got back April 1st and could kick myself for not booking the bounceback offer while there. I should have done it and said nothing to my hubby. I could have upgraded the 4/3 tickets and got BC at 40% off. CRYING AGAIN because I miss it already!!!!!:sad1:

I haven't cancelled a ressie but I *did* pass on the bounceback offer when I was in WDW this past December. I didn't book it when we stayed at Pop or the Poly. I did book the 4/3 special and that's what I'm doing for our June stay. My TA just said I'm the first of her clients to have gotten this pin.

This trip is going to be such a nice 'belated birthday' present for my daughter. :goodvibes

I guess this is a trial of a tiered FD system that was talked about when the new QS category was announced. QS for the value and regular for the moderates and deluxes.

Am I missing something here? Did we all get the same email or different? Mine is not for FREE dining, it's basically you get the dining plan (QS or DDP) and theme park tickets at the child (3-9) price.

I am interested in seeing if that tidbit at the bottom about checking on rates for 11/28 - 12/17 is the same or different than the other offer:idea:

I got this pin code too. Can't figure out exactly what it means as far as the kids go. It says, "$617 per adult, based on adult double occupancy"... Our kids are considered adults by Disney standards, but it's based on double occupany. I noticed a member quoted for you the wording at the bottom and I wanted to mention something to you as well. I was shocked to have received one of the PIN's today :cool1: and it was for the QS free dining at the Value resorts. I did call to price it out and although I was checking for the end of October, the agent told me at the end of the call that it was good through 12/17. I remember reading it in the email but thought it was odd she mentioned to me when I never even brought up December. It didn't change anything for me personally, but perhaps it would be worth a phone call for you? I hope she didn't get her info wrong for your sake... Good luck! :thumbsup2

I saw the verbage about great rates for 11-28 to 12-17 in this same Goofy ad from Destination Disney but it doesn't give any details and tells you to call which I will shortly.

Hopefully, we will have more details about the offer for those later dates, as well. As another poster stated it looks like it's free dining, too, but I think we will need to get more confirmation about this from all who try for those other dates. It may be different offers depending on your pin for the 11-28 to 12-17 promo.

Someone has posted elsewhere that they received a pin for the 4/3 deal and others have stated a 5/2 deal with a gift card for December. They didn't mention it was part of the Goofy deal.

Well, I went ahead and called this morning. I was on hold for maybe 4 minutes, but by the time I was completely done with the CM, I had been on the phone for 1 hour 45 minutes! :eek:

I was previously booked for the September free dining. But I wanted to come later than that. My new dates are 11/25-12/7. I am staying the first three nights (11/25-11/27) at rack rates because it's Thanksgiving. :scared1:
Seriously expensive for those three nights, just doing base tickets for that time frame. Then I am staying 11/28-12/7, which is value rates, with FREE DINING! :banana: I'm hoping the free dining and value rate sort of off-sets the horror that is Thanksgiving rates for the other part.

Oh, and we are staying courtyard view, Wilderness Lodge, so I was able to use the pin for a deluxe. :)

Overall, I'm pretty happy.

Your exactly right. This is a trial for whats to come next. If the economy was to get just a little bit better I believe next fall this is what they will offer. I cancelled our free dining trip for September, but would really like to go during December.

Would anyone happen to have one for free Dining in October? I would like to take my children back on their Fall break. Last time we went, I had one that got hurt and had to get a wheel chair, one with an ear infection and the one in the wheelchair ended up with strep...I would like to try and do it again, hoping for a better experience! If you can help...I would greatly appreciate it!

You can't transfer pin codes. You just have to hope that you get one! Have you registered on the Disney site so they know your email?

Just got off the phone with the CM and asked about the extended dates to 12/17. He took a couple of minutes and said that both offers were good unitl 12/17 and also applied to deluxe resports.

We always do the DP and have never been at Christmas time so we booked for 12/11 - 12/18 with 8-day parkhopper at POR for $2375.00 for 4 adults.

This is a savings of $1120.00 (cost of dining) off regular price. This covers the cost of our airfare + $300 spending money.

Now need to cancel the summer trip

I got the same pin and booked 12/17 to 12/26 at Coronado Springs Resort, for 3 adults ( one is my 18 year old) and 1 junior, 10 day park hoppers and basic free dining :love: for $3413 ! :banana: :woohoo: :yay:

Well, I just had the CM run some numbers for us and from 12-17 to 12-23 it would be 3090.00 for two rooms at a value and 4 disney adults, 3 children and 5 day base tickets.

The same package with upgraded dining (to the regular plan over the Quick Service) would be 2841.00 if we backed up a week from 12-12 to 12-17.

I'm just not sure...we're staying 8 nights in September/October for MNSSHP and Bounceback Free dining for 3011.00 and while I realize that Sept/Oct is more of a value season I'm not sure we can pull off two 3000.00 trips in a year....still it's free dining LOL

Maybe I'll play around with the dates a bit, isn't there a value season or week in December? Found it on Mousesavers....seems I'm already in that 'value' time: Value Nov 29 - Dec 17
