Okay, so the kids and I are having an impromptu dance party for three :banana::banana:(we are totally silly and wierd that way:rotfl2:) tilting to songs from musicals but not totally limited to that. This stated because we were in the modd to hear Seasons of Love and then someone suggested Dancin' Through Life and then we were off! Here is what we've done already--give us some good ideas to entertain us for the next hour or two please:goodvibes

Mama Mia (turns out DS can do the Thriller dance to Mama Mia:lmao:)
Jelicle Cats
Dancin' Through Life
Beverly Hills Cop (see not all musicals;))
What is this Feeling
Everybody Dance Now
One Night in Bangkok

okay so send your suggestions this way--we are losing brain power to all this silliness right quick:rolleyes:

Sorry. I can't find the clips. Those sites are blocked at work.

If you can't find them on youtube, check bluegobo.com There are a lot of musical clips on there.

He doesn't like it when people say nice things about him.

He thrives on abuse and hostility. ::yes::

I am not even familiar with that show--but it as a fun bit. Thanks for the sugestion--now I have a new show to learn about:goodvibes

The kids had never seen Legally Blonde. Watching just the bit Rob suggested was enough to inspire them to find the entire musical in bits on youtube last night. So today we were at a birthday party invovling hiking and bouldering in a nature reserve. I blame Rob for the funny looks the other kids gave them as they happily sang "Oh My God" and "European or Gay" pretty much all day long:rotfl2: They so loved the show.
Tonight they are watching The Producers (which they have seen before). They already made the obvious blunder of comming home from school one lovely spring day singing "Springtime for Hitler in Germany":lmao: Uh guys, think about how that sound to the Germans who don't know the show:confused3The kids were like DUH, okay we won't sing that one anymore (I did read recently that the Producers will be in Berlin this summer--fist time here).
We will be back to working our way through the list of suggestions and dance partying all evening long on Monday. Thank again to all 3 of you:thumbsup2

:rotfl2:

We loved that show. MTV aired it a while back. The funny thing is that when in Paris and Rome, Scott and I would play the "Is he gay or just European?" game quite a bit while checking out cute guys.

So when they got to the "gay or European" song in Legally Blonde, we laughed so hard we had to pause the playback on the DVR.

"Springime for Hitler" walking home from school in Germany. :lmao: You're kids sound like a riot!

I have heard great things about that show--I a msure htey would enjoy it. Sadly, I can't find much of it online (not truly complaining--I totally understand copyright laws AND the value of seeing shows live--we just don't have many options at the moment so we take what we can).

yeah, for better or for worse they are not run of the mill kids:rotfl2: Among other things they do have a tendancy to break into song (and often dance) at the drop of a hat to fit any occasion. So this morning we were frantic making it out the door on time=had to sing "Manic Monday" driving to school. Church bells often="So Long Farwell" (there are church bells about a gazillion times a day here:eek:), and things like asking "What Time Is It? (think HSM2) or saying "Thank Goodness" (Wicked) are just asking for for it:upsidedow On the bright side they entertain themselves all the darn time and will watch musicals with me as much as I want:thumbsup2and they are getting good at keeping the volume down to not disturb anyone else with their wierdness:3dglasses (they have no need for an audience--they are just singing to sing:dance3:). DS is a dance too. He tap dances as he walks. Following him around here I always think of the scene in Billy Elliot where Billy is tapping all over town.

We are looking forward to dance party take 2 tonight with all your great suggestions:goodvibes
