Hi all,
I'm hosting a Virgin Vie party at my house in a few weeks time, and people keep telling me that the more my guests spend, the more commission I will get to spend, which sounds great!
Can anyone tell me how the commission works so I can start to figure out what to spend it on? ;) I tried googling but I can only find a review from 2007 which says if over £75 is spent you get 15% commission of the total spend, is this still the same now for 2009?
Also, does anyone have any tips, this is the first party I've hosted? I know the VV rep will do most of the work, and people are going to bring their own drinks, so I just figured I'd buy some plastic cups to save the washing up and a few snacks to dot around the room and voila! I have around 15-18 of us in total, I didn't realise so many people would say yes, so it may be a squeeze in our living room, but I'm hoping the number will be okay!:scared:

I had one of these parties a few years ago when my friend''s Mum was a rep... I'm afraid I can't help in the way of commission info as it was quite a while ago, but we did just what you're describing... Make sure you have a table or similar in the room you're hosting in as the rep will probably use this to put the Virgin Vie goodies on! Also, you might need a chair... When I had my party they did a Make Up demo on someone (I got voted Guinea Pig! Lol!)...
Other than that, just enjoy sampling all the lovely goodies! I adore Virgin Vie... If you haven't already, try their one step face base- Its my favourite item of make up ever!!

I can't remember how much commision I got but not many people bought stuff but I was still able to get a necklace with it.
A table is a good idea to lay all the items out on. As you said some snacks, plastic cups and maybe a bottle of wine on hand in case anyone doesn't bring any and some soft drinks.

I went to one of these a few years ago and was the person who had the makeover, it was the worst makeover I have ever seen, I looked absolutely :scared1: I still bought loads of stuff though and I really liked the makeup :goodvibes

Ooh this is a good idea, tell me your recommendations for makeup etc, coz I'm not a girly girl and don't know these things!
I think I'm going to have a makeover, and if I like it I might use the rep to do my wedding make up for our at home reception...

Oh dear!! I really loved mine, so thats a shame!!
Meryll83, I love lots and lots of their eye products... I love the Eye Brightner pencil, the out of sight gel, eye boost cream eyeshadow, the out of the shadows eye cream thing (Can you tell I have eyebags!?)... I've already mentioned the one step face base (Its seriously amazing stuff!)...I also love the pure shine lipgloss ranges....
The bath smellies are also wonderful... :cloud9:

I went to one years ago and there were only about 10 of us but the host ended up with LOADS of freebies.
Hope it goes well :thumbsup2

Is the face base the one that looks like a compact?
I'm liking the look of that, a lip gloss that starts clear then changes colour according to the PH of your skin, a clear liquid eyeliner that you use in eyeshadow to customise the colour, and of course I want to look at my creams!
I have to fit 18 people in my living room (they ALL said yes!) so hopefully I'll be rewarded with some freebies! :lmao:
Any other must-buys?

I love some of the Virgin Vie stuff but, unfortunately, it doesn't agree with my skin :sad2:
